Rega IO integrated amp I had the chance to listen to this integrated as Johnny Rutan's place (Audio Connection) in Verona, NJ. I could not stop listening to it and was just confused at how a $599 amp could sound so alive and dynamic. This amp is sure to be a classic s...
Accuphase DP-85 Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the volume on a DP 85 without using the remote?
Integrated Are you still looking for an integrated amp?
ProAc monitor owners - which stands? ProAc's need high mass stands. Any kind will do and you will want to fill them to the top with sand or something. I've spent years with ProAc's and trust me this is gospel. Don't use wood stands or light aluminum stands for ProAc's.
Which integrated amp for better musicality - Parasound Hint vs Primaluna vs ??? Try the Rotel separates. CD Player, Pre Amp and Amp will cost you $3,000. You would be very surprised how well they work with some speakers like B & W. All Rotel products use DNM caps, made by Dennis Morecroft from DNM Audio. Some say his pr...
Vibration Theory - Isolate or Drain? The measurement of discombobulation when using a complex collaborator to discombobulate vibration complications is ludicrous when signalling metros anomalies.
Audioquest Rocket 44 speaker cable. Any good?? Good cables won't make your system sound better. They will just make it suck less. That is a quote from the President of Audioquest. Can you imagine?I used to be a big Audioquest fan. Then I had a chance to compare the $8,800 Oak to a pair of ...
PS Audio or Ayre? The guy who made the comment about the McIntosh sounding better than Ayre sounds like a PS Audio dealer or a McIntosh dealer. Either that or he is tone deaf. Go audition one and see for yourself. I knows guys who have $30,000 monoblocks being driv...
benefits of a phono preamp for me? You have a very nice system and all components are in line with each other in terms of price and quality. I would not invest in a new phono-stage, just keep it where it is. They will produce diminishing returns until you start spending a lot of mo...
Minimum recommended amplification requirements and amplifier matching 90 db and 80 to 200 watts? Is this a 4 ohm speaker?
Speakers least affected by room acoustics There are no speakers that are going to solve this problem. I have been doing this for 35 years and I’m amazed at how little people don’t understand this issue.Remember that anything above 100 hz is a problem of reflection. Anything below 100 hz i...
Still looking for speakers in the 10-20,000 range Forget Magico. Forget Magico completely. For that size room and your electronics I can’t recommend the Vandersteen Quatro enough. They excel with Audio Research amplifiers because they only need to produce 100hz and above for the Vandersteen speak...

High power vs bi amp low power? I agree with Czarivey bi amps are a waste of money. D class amps are just okay in my opinion. I've spent a good deal of time with them, including the Audio Research D class amplifier, which retails for $6,000. I prefer a class A solid state amplif... |
