Raising my subwoofer I use 4" maple platforms underneath my (4) JL F-113 subs. I painted them high gloss black and installed 2" brass Audio points underneath.Check out my systems page for a picture.ozzy
How many people here generally buy used? I usually try to buy used, simply because you can get more for your money. But, if I want a certain color or feature then I buy new at the best price I can obtain it.Right now, I would say my system is about 50-50 new/used.ozzy
What the heck do these terms mean? I think you guys have done a great job trying to define these various terms. However, sometimes the reviewer may use the same terms to describe something that sounds good and sometimes not so good.I do wish there was a consensus as to how they use...

LessLoss Firewall for Loudspeakers Yeah, I think the adapters would have worked better with a different set of speaker cables. BTW, I’m also using my DIY Entreq for speakers, so that could matter too.I think they are over priced but I guess if they really lock into your system then...
Stillpoints Aperture or Synergistic UEF panels Which one? Glad to hear you found the best spot.I would like to add that with the Apertures the HFT's on the speakers are not necessary. In fact, it sounds more natural without them.ozzy
Stillpoints Aperture or Synergistic UEF panels Which one? monoblocknova,Thank you for your posting. Behind my listening spot I built a huge CD rack that holds about 6000 cd's. It is about 15 feet long and about 6 feet tall. I'm thinking that this rack provides the scatter effect. But, now you got me thin...

LessLoss Firewall for Loudspeakers I can now conclude what I feel the Lessloss provides in sound quality. They do take a while to break in, I probably have put about 50 hours on them and I was told that they already had about 20 hours. They did exhibit a benefit with additional hou... |
