Some tables have soul and some not
In "audiophilic" terminology the word "soul" is synonymous with life. I suppose in that context, it could be used in some instances in regard to classical music; however, it is also commonly used in regard to a "genre" of music. In the context in ...

Tube amp on/off: best practice?
The safety factor has priority.
Tube amp on/off: best practice?
If you listen all day, and turn it off at night, that's fine; but it's realy not good turning tube gear on and off like you describe, and I forget why or why not.

Every segment of society has it's own unique dictionary. You will not find the word "soul" in an electronics dictionary; but you would find it in a "stereo" dictionary, or a jazz and blues encyclopedia. While I am not an expert in classical music ...
Upscaling Speakers, Downscaling Amp...What to Do?
Curriemt11, your statement depends on what kind of listener you are, in regard to "electronics are of relatively lesser importance". People who like "Boom Bada Boom!" will always choose speakers, while people who listen for inner detail in music w...

Rok2id, there you go again. You didn't even make a comment on that Horace Silver post, and now you're telling me what I should post. Since what I'm thinking would be inappropriate to post *&&^^%^$#@, I'll refrain from any comment.

Marakanetz, mid-fi and 3D soundstage don't even go in the same sentence. There are numerous amps that would not compromise the 3D soundstage. It's not the brand, but the quality of the parts, which is why ARC or any other brand will have many diff...

Yes, very good ones at an excellent price. If you buy used, replace the electrolytic caps; they aren't expensive and will make the unit good as new.
