Alex, you are always coming up with something special for me, even when it's outside the genre; "Rumble" for example, was not in my collection, I didn't even know the name of the tune, but it seemed to come on the car radio about 4:00 in the morni...

Frogman, since "My Spanish Heart" was 2 LP's of Chick Coreas music projecting his Spanish Heart, don't you think "Spain" might have been incorporated somewhere in that music.Whenever you get through, I heard music from "My Spanish Heart"; that's t...
Recommend some Jazz to me
My suggestion is to go through the posts on "Jazz For Aficionados", find what you like, post it over here, and ask others to add to it; that way you will almost instantly discover records just for you.

Rok, that thing with Chick Corea is from "My Spanish Heart". Before this they gave us "Mingus" soup warmed over, and claimed it was something fantastic; maybe we're asking for too much. The past is never dead, it's not even past.Beka Gochiashvili ...

Pryso, there were some questions about LP's from Rarewaves.com Ltd. The LP I have is perfect; I just scrutinized it a second time when I down loaded it to the hard drive. Not only is the LP without noise scratches and pops, but the jazz is outstan...

You hang in there Schubert, I'm with you all the way. Nobody here has ever heard of "Cause and effect".

Alex, you named the problem, "It lacked excitement". "Snowing on my Piano" is the only cut I liked; that's because I once lived at the end of a street with a wide "park like" island in the middle, and across from that was a grey stone church with...
Tom Petty: It was an "accidental" OD
Kosst, I am there in regard to the pain; severe constant pain has only been recent. In regard to "Addiction" I watched it with tearful eyes; a jazz musician I idolized was doing what he had to do right in front of me.Somehow, back then, drug addi...

The music I posted didn't get rave reviews from this crowd. To be perfectly honest, it was almost work just listening to it; but it was highly rated by "Stereophile" and it was quite current, and it was labeled jazz. That's all I'm going to say ...

Anybody watch the Grammys tonight?
Did anybody see the "Katrina Aftermath"? That lasted for three days. People were denied the resources every citizen of this country is entitled to, and they drowned as a result of that denial; did anybody drown at the Grammys?

This is the most current jazz I could find. He got a very good review in "Stereophile", and I wonder if I agree. I'm going to give him an extensive listen before I decide.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYGOAwW9Uq8Since it's not fair that I ...
