Bluesound Powernode
@moose89 I've got one for our veranda speakers, and through the Bowers and Wilkins outdoor speakers it really sounds great. I really didn't expect it to be so musical. I figured I'd be listening to NPR while there, but queuing up my playlists has ...
Boressen speakers
Good Morning @joe2022 , I've owned a pair of the z3 Cryos for a few months now and can offer a few thoughts... First, they really are exceptionally accurate. The moving mass of the tweeter is so small compared to most other speakers that it's lik...
Axpona 2023
@designsfx  I was a little unimpressed with the Aries Cerat room. Maybe it was the music at the time, but it sounded fairly pedestrian; especially in contrast with the gargantuan scale of the equipment. One of the guys in the room told me that the...
Is a home theater even worth it or doable?
Why not just add a TV to your two channel system? We love watching TV and movies through our stereo, and never miss the extra channels of audio. We did invest in a very nice TV, one of those that renders black as very black; and it was well worth ...
T+A Solitaire S 530 Magnetostatic Speakers
Congratulations @blisshifi for the addition of your new Solitaire S 530's; what a spectacular system. I can only imagine what a joy it must be to explore new music and to listen to old favorites with that little stereo of yours. I'm looking forwar...
The new Borresen M1's...a new direction?
Well, if I had that kind of cash maybe.... I'm just getting my pair of Borresen Z3 Cryos dialed in and I have to say.... wow. Driven to silky perfection by an Accuphase E-5000, it's a pretty magical combination.
Is R.E.M. underrated by new music nerds?
Solid R.E.M. fan here, and I read through this thread with interest. I'm surprised Around The Sun wasn't mentioned. Every time I listen to it I think, "Damn, this is some good music!"
Small form factor, SS phono preamp recommendation.
@jorgjean , What do you like about the whest? What cart are you using it with? Music Direct has an open box PS.40RDT SE for sale right now and I’m intrigued by it.
Small form factor, SS phono preamp recommendation.
@robelvick @lewm @gemoody and others.... Thanks for the insights. It probably does make the most sense to stick with the Accuphase phono card. It would be easy to spend a lot more and end up with more cords, more complexity, more chance for extran...
Small form factor, SS phono preamp recommendation.
@grislybutter I should have mentioned that I used to own a Rega Aria, a more pricey unit than the Fono MM and found that it had way too much self-generated noise. With a good MM cart, your phono-stage may be a little less critical so you really ha...
Small form factor, SS phono preamp recommendation.
@grislybutter Yes, the CA Audio Alva Duo is really quiet, resolving, and sounds great.
Small form factor, SS phono preamp recommendation.
@rsf507 Good thought, I'll look into it again.. and @boothroyd good point, I have one in my Accuphase E-470 (secondary system)  and I should move it to my new E-5000 and really give it a good audition. @solypsa Intriguing option; are they availabl...
question of integrated amplification: PASS LABS INT 250 VS ACCUPHASE E-800
The E-800 transitions to class AB after the first 50 watts (8 ohms) and will provide plenty of juice for nearly any loudspeaker. Of course, along with all that power one gets one of the most versatile, precision built, and gorgeous integrateds mad...
Technics sr u 1000 ... vs Accuphase e-480
I have an E-470, and I have to say that it is an absolute joy to listen to, the features are all very useful and it’s built to the highest and most precise standards that I’ve ever seen in an audio component. While the impedance sensing and compen...
Accuphase dac 60
Hey, congratulations on your new Accuphase. I’m smitten too by the sound, the build quality, and the sheer aura of my E-480. I have the DAC-50 in mine and when I listen to music it’s just..... musical like it should be. Not only does Accuphase hav...
