Best Holographic Speakers ~$7k per pair
You should listen to some ATC speakers if you can. They are exceptionally accurate. I have them as part of a combo HiFi/Home theater system.. Sometimes they have made me think the surround channels are running, when in fact they are not.

Try "Jazz at the Pawn Shop". A wonderful live recording at a jazz club in Stockholm. They cover some classics and the sound is amazing.

Look at ATC. They are very accurate and ATC are used by many recording engineers for monitoring. Imaging is amazing.

Is Apple Music lossless/uncompressed?
The Apple Music app on Apple TV is easier to work with than using a phone, (although of course you need a TV to manage it) - it outputs digital over a HDMI cable, but reduces any higher res streams to 48kz Almost all stereo tracks are 'lossless'.... 
High end bookshelf speakers for Small room
Look at the ATC bookshelf range: https://atc.audio/hi-fi/loudspeakers/entry-series/scm7-mk3/ Great imaging, very accurate - which is why so many recording studios use this brand for monitors. Good value for $ too.

Agree. ATC speakers are superbly crafted, and accurate. Imaging is excellent. ATC are heavily used in recording studios. You can add a sub later to extend the bass: e.g, Dynaudio 18s  
What if a high end speaker measures really badly?
Question: when FR graph such as those above show the db level at, say, 1khz, does the measured response include any other frequencies - such as resonances introduced by the speaker? Also, I assume, the graphs alone do not reflect phase consistenc...
