Shindo Aurieges L versus Monbrisson
I had an Aurieges L for about 8 months before upgrading to the Monbrison 7 months ago. In my set up (Wavelength Brick>Monbrison>ML No. 334>Devore Nines) the difference was jaw dropping (I guess that means >10%). I love Shindo gear for ...
Who Are the Best Young Lions of Jazz Today?
My vote for "Best Young Lions" of jazz would be Joshua Redman, Eric Harland, and Brad Mehldau. Simply brilliant musicians all under 40.My vote for jazz "Lions" would be Charles LLoyd, Dave Holland, Kieth Jarrett, Branford Marsalis. Simply brillian...
Well Tempered Amadeus
Question for you Amadeaus owners --does the table have leveling capability? If not, can you describe your audio isolation/leveling set-up? Thanks!
Shindo amps vs. preamps
KiethR -I'd suggest trying out both paths before you decide. It may push you to find creative ways around the remote issue...I'd been trying for years to get that classic Shindo sound for as little $$ as possible. My first Shindo piece was the Aur...
Wavelength Brick USB DAC tube rolling?
Excellent --thank you. I'll have to give those a shot as well. As for an upgrade, I made the move to the v2 last year and, as you pointed out, the difference was enormous. I'm considering moving to a v3, but I'd like to learn more before I do.I se...
Wavelength Brick USB DAC tube rolling?
Thanks for the post Heymikey and Restock. The EI tube in my Brick just died and was searching for recommendations. Quite pleased with the La Radiotechnique you suggested. Thanks!
Amarra or upgrade my Wavelength Brick
I downloaded PureVinyl and have been quite impressed as well. Perhaps not quite the difference I noticed going from the v1 to the v2, but still pretty darn impressive. It's still one of those upgrades that you need to listen to all of your music a...
Amarra or upgrade my Wavelength Brick
I don't know a thing about Amarra, but I had Gordon Rankin upgrade my v1 Brick to a v2 for a couple hundred bucks. Best money in audio gear I ever spent.
Are Devore super 8s a lot better than the 8s?
Tonal quality up and down the scale. Notes with my Gibbon 8s always seemed a bit lean. I listen to a lot of acoustic jazz and I found that sax and cymbals were a bit brash to my ears. Also, the bass never was quite as present as with the the Super...
Are Devore super 8s a lot better than the 8s?
Pal: In my opinion, yes, they are a lot better. I agree with the Sfar’s comment that the Gibbon 8s are far better than any speakers in their price range (that I’ve listen to anyway) and I purchased a pair two years ago. Unfortunately, I still was ...
Better sounding DAC than Cullen mod PS Audio DLIII
Have you tried a Wavelength Audio Brick v2?
Cleveland, OH
I just got a surprise that Aaron Goldberg is going to be at NightTown on Wed, April 15th (tommorrow night). Not sure if any of you folks are into jazz at all...but he's bringing Eric Harland (drums) and Reuben Rodgers (bass). If you haven't seen t...
Rogue Audio Cronus ...what speakers do you love ?
I bought a Cronus Magnum a couple months ago to go with my DeVore Gibbon 8s. I had been using an solid state pre/pro and the Cronus simply blows it away. I had no idea my Gibbons had that much bass in them. I also recently upgraded my DAC (Wavelen...

Sounds good. I'll look forward to meeting you folks.
