Hey ultraviolet thanks for the info on the wav's...that makes a heck of a lot of sense...basically the ipod is not up for heavy duty wav playback which means that I am likely going to run into the same problem when I get my replacement...I am stil...

hi kublakhan...to get music onto the ipod you have to:1. Insert the CD into your computer and it will automatically pull up the track listings from the net.2. Select the songs you want to import to your COMPUTERS hard drive. You cannot load songs ...
beware ipod
I appreciate that most people seem to love their ipod but their is absolutely no excuse for the lack of quality control that I have encountered. As for their legendary "support"...the manual that comes with the ipod is an absolute joke...the dread...

Why vinyl?
Really bad analog to digital conversions is a good reason.Sure the Rolling Stones and Beatles etc get state of the art treatment but if you like music from the 60s or minor artists the vast majority of it is awful. This holds true especially for s...
Am I nuts or what?
one more thing - if you like the JT album try and find an original british pressing from 1978 - vinyl quality in the UK hadn't deteriorated as fast as in the US - it is dead quiet - gorgeous - I just listened to it - I think it might have even bee...
My wife touched my turntable - help please
I had a buddy who's wife put the dustcover down on his LP12 - while he was spinning a disc - he completely freaked out - screaming about "turbulence - tracking etc". She looked rather bewildered and proceeded to lift it back up.My pals blood press...
Reel to Reel Question?
You can go really crazy and pick up great broadcast machines for decent dollars - ampex 440's - ATR100's - even the odd A80 - although they do take up more space in the old listening room and not as asthetically pleasing as a Teac 7300 let's say -...
