Subwoofers
Goatwuss, the ML Depth has (the important low pass) x-over points at 30, 35, 45, 55, 65, and 80 Hz (a total of 6, not 2)If you are concerned about using high pass filters (40 and 70 Hz for the Depth) I'm curious why that would be important to you....
Some CD's won't play... what's wrong?
Someone just started this thread:http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?ddgtl&1126034285&openmine&zzNsgarch&4&5#NsgarchDon't know if it's the same model as yours, but it sounds like you're going to need to send it back to Krell.
No power on my ML SL3 on a stepdown voltage
See, now wasn't that easy? And way better than one of us hacks trying to advise you :~))Is ML going to charge you for the new boards? Just curious . . . .
Blown 6550 tubes and resistors in ARC VT 200
It won't totally eliminate the potential for this occurance, but keeping a closer check on the bias will go a long way towards reducing this problem. And the bias current is still affected by AC line voltage even though ARC has added some circuitry...
A simple question from the new guy ....
And let's not forget that a lot of the pops and ticks are not really in/on the record, and can be eliminated by careful cleaning, applying Last if necessary, and (especially) using anti-static devices like carbon fiber record brushes. Also, certain...
shipping speakers
If you want to insure proper handling for anything larger than monitors or subs, or ANY electronics, don't use ground shipping from anybody! Use a reputable airfreight company (even FedEx.)For example, I shipped a pair of ARC M300 MkII tube amps (...

As far as rough handling goes, the cabinets would probably suffer before the drivers sustained any damaged. In other words, if the furniture makes it, the mechanics are almost surely OK.As for packing, that's really a function of size/weight, and ...
Subwoofers
I have a single Depth, and find it to be the best I've usedwith my (electrostatic) CLSs, for the following reasons:Incredibly fast transients, which you'd better have if using a sub with electrostatics (better than the Descent IMO)Very tolerant of...

Levinson amp accept "Bananas" ??
Whoaru99 is right about the non-standard center-to-center spacing of the ML binding posts. You would have to have a separate single banana plug on each speaker lead, and preferably the locking type. Bananas make great contact actually; the problem...
Hey, why do WE have to break-in cables???
I think it's best to break-in ICs in the system. And as most people seem to agree, if you remove them from your system for any length of time, or change their orientation, you'll have to break them in again anyway. I think maybe PCs can be broken ...
Levinson amp accept "Bananas" ??
The recent ML amps (of the last five years or so) seem to use some kind of binding post with a plastic twist handle nut. I don't know about those (on many levels!:~)) but everything before that used standard 5-way binding posts, which do accept ba...
Isonodes vs. Vibrapods
I like the PandaPaws better than any of those. Much more "intelligent design." Got to:pandathumbaudio.com
Bose 901
Camino, the garage is a perfect place for your 901s. Actually, I always thought that any kind of public address environment (churches, music stores) was a great use for them. So if you love your 901s then don't let them die. Get new surrounds put ...
EMM Labs AS Optimism emm.
