When audiophiles visit for a listening session
Ray, Chadnliz, punkawalla, and elliotb have a restaining order against my stories, I can't post anything within 500ft of them!
Gordon Lightfoot Tribute
I just heard yesterday that Gordon Lightfoot is on the road again. That's great news since he was on the verge of death not that long ago. His voice isn't as strong as when he was a young man, but his last show in my little town was really fun. Se...
Teres 265 or 320 vs. Sota Cosmos
Watch this space, lots of exciting news coming soon!
A tubes vs. Solid State question.
I still haven't gone back to tubes, but the Klyne pre-amp which replaced the Krell a couple of years ago has more of a tube sound than SS. Does that count for anything?
Klyne pre-amps, any experience out there?
I have spent nearly two years with the Klyne 7LX3.5b and I have to say that this is really a great product. I find it to be much more musical, less analytical than the Krells that I owned prior to the Klyne. The Klyne has less of the solid state ed...
Easiest compromise for weakest link?
Tobias - that's where I have found the easiest place of compromise. I am on my third time working my way through the system, having begun at the source and working back to the speakers while upgrading. Sure speakers make a difference, but I have s...
What is the best phono preamp you have heard?
I have heard the Aesthetix IO signature but I would not list it as the best I've ever heard.I have heard the Boulder briefly, but seriously, $25,000??? If I had the money I would still not buy a $25,000 phono section. The Rhea is good, but a little...
About Lugnut -- Patrick Malone

If Money Were No Object... A Fantasy Question
Mint604 I have heard the Schroeder arm briefly, but have spoken with people who have a lot more experience than I, and the difference between great arms like the Walker and the Schroeder is a matter taste. Some people prefer butter pecan to chocol...
A few systems heard at the Rocky Mntn. audiofest
Golden ears, just to clarify my statement about being put off by someone's music. Steve and I went to the Classe room to talk with one of their sales people to get some specific information. I have one of their amps and had to know something about...
Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2005
Albert I forgot how good the Teres 360 looked! All of the pictures are great. I can't wait to see the rest here at AudiogoN. Nice work!
Manly Steelhead - any downside??
LindisfarneHow can price be that big an issue when you are getting one of the best phono stages available and a line stage that is also very good? Where else can a consumer get that much from a product for less money?
To anyone who has TT
Tube tuner; turntable; tonka truck??? WTF are you asking about???

About Lugnut -- Patrick Malone
Pat, I'm glad I called Friday instead of Thursday, after reading your post. It was great to talk with you again.I can't imagine the yo-yo to which you refer! To prepare for something dreaded, only to have it postponed is more than I can wrap my li...
