Jolida JD100 better that the Rega Planet 2000? Thanks Rbautista,I really like Blue Circle gear. It sounds great for the price and the company has excellent customer service. Plus I am located in Canada as they are so I can get a bit better deal (not an extra middle man).If you are ever looking...
Jolida JD100 better that the Rega Planet 2000? Hello,I currently have a Planet 2000. I am wondering if the Jolida would be considered and upgrade over it? If so, in what areas? This will not be my last redbook player as eventually I would like to own a player in the $2500 area (used of course)...
Would you buy speakers with out first listening ? I bought my Magnepan MG12's unheard.I did a lot of reasearch before buying them.I had also listened to a pair of 1.5's before, so I knew what their house sound was.
Best midrange on a high current SS amplifier You could give the Blue Circle BC26 a try.It fits the bill, for everythi9ng your asking. I think you will find it works quite well. Here is a review:http://www.soundstage.com/revequip/bluecircle_bc26.htm
Best Amp For Martin Logan Aerius i Under $2000 What about a Blue Circle? You could go for a CS integrated. I have one and enjoy it every much.Gilbert at Blue Circle (the designer and founder) also uses CLS IIz and his reference speakers (along with some ML Statement E2's)www.bluecircle.comIf yo...
Best versatile speakers? My room is only 10x12.I ended up making acoustic panels and bass traps which help a lot.But I really need a bigger room. And as long as your not trying to reach concert levels I think the maggies are great on rock. I listen to rock at 80-90db.
Were to go after a Rega Planet 2000? Right now I am in savings mode.I have been doing a lot of reading and I am really interested in a Audio Note CD-1/1x Signature DAC combo and possibly the Resolution Audio Opus 21 (both used of course). If I can't get enough money togther I will pro...
Best versatile speakers? I went from Paradigm Studio 40's v.2 to a Magnepan MG12.In comparison the paradigm sounds a little shrill and cold and thin.If you have the space Magnepan might be worth looking at.Happy Listening,
Update Merlin TSM-Speaker Cables please I am not familiar with Merlin speakers. There is just no dealers in my area. I would love to hear a pair. From everything I have heard they sound like they are terrific. So take my speaker cable suggestion with a grain of salt. But the Anti-cables...
MMG or Vandersteen Good choice.I humed and hawed over buying MMG as well.In the end I got the MG12 and have not looked back.If I had the space I would of got the MG1.6, but in my 10x12 the MG12 is it.A used pair of 1.6 can be had for $1000-$1200 and MG12s for $700-$...
MMG or Vandersteen with 29 or 30" you should be good.Magnepan also sells the MMGC (C for center) for $299. I am not sure how good it is? From what reviews say it's great. I just have not heard one.You may be able to get a MMGC cheaper as a returned one, the audiorev...
MMG or Vandersteen Is that 2 feet to the back of the speaker or the front?Because Maggies need at least 30" minimum (but 40"+ is better) behind them.If you can give them the space, and you have the power, I think it's an easy choice. Since you have a sub, I think as... |
