I'd like to add"Europe '72", "Wake of the Flood" and "From the Mars Hotel"
Steely Dan's Aja
I'm with Bombaywalla and Flemke, i.e. perfectly happy withthe LP.
Who was this "band" ???
I never saw "Bad News", but the "Young Ones" was hilarious.A hippie, a punk, a "yuppie" etc. Now there's a timeless concept for a sitcom......if only our networks weren't so lame and unimaginative.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart...RIP
Choosing Tom Hulce to play Mozart in punky-pink wigs and having him act like an american brat really dates "Amadeus" now, IMHO. I always felt the composer could have been portrayed as a deeper, more substantial character, though not without humor....
Awesome LP finds..at least for me
A few years ago I picked up Keith Jared's "Sunbear Concert",a 10-LP tome for $10 mint at Goodwill. It's a huge book withLP sleeves and arty photographs. What an ego that guy has. The music and recording are quality, though.
Ageless Music?
In our current cultural climate, music is primarily considered a commodity for financial gain, and secondly asa living, valid artform. In the 20th century, radio was themain medium which delivered live and recorded music to the masses. Repeated li...
any fans of early industrial?
Chams_ukSnakefinger(rip)was great! Unfortunately he had to paint houses to make a living, I was told. BTW, I still have oneof those little "Buy or Die" catalogs. Another Ralph slogan was: "Ignorance of your culture is not considered cool".Also, "T...
What are the best live acts?
Guided by Voices from Dayton, Ohio. Robert Pollard is a songwriter/frontman extraordinaire, a hook-laden songwriting machine who gives all on stage. (Plus he handsout free beers to the audience while he performs)
Which artists do you just not get?
Warren Zevon (RIP), Randy Newman. I just never got what thehoopla was all about. Werewolves of London? Short People?Huh? This kind of "outragious" writing makes critics darlings? I know they did other stuff, but....for 5 years or more back in the ...
any fans of early industrial?
Although not purely industrial, I'd like to throw in"Alien Soundtracks"('77) and "Half Machine Lip Moves"('78)by Chrome (Helios Creed/Damon Edge). Fascinating amalgamof hi/lo tech cyberpunk multitracked at varying speeds, which sounds to me like m...

I'm very happy with the sound I get from my Matrix 805's,mounted on Audio points on Lovan Caliber stands, which are filled with micro bearings. The speakers are bi-wired withKimber 4TC/8TC to a NAD 370 integrated amp. Music sources are NAD 540i CD...
Best female vocals on CD

Speakers for NAD C370
My NAD 370 drives a pair of B&W 805 Matrix speakers viaKimber 8TC cables with excellent results. CD's are playedthrough a NAD 541i. Although the 805 Matrix are no longer made, they're still held in high esteem and I'm very happywith my combina...
