Bel Canto eOne amps - Is this the future? Seurat, the proof is in the listening. A great part in what makes them different is their faster switching speed. They are analog, not digital. They don't sound like tubes, or solid state.
Bel Canto eOne amps - Is this the future? Eldartford, in Washington DC.
Is Apogee in a class by itself among planars? Bkonig, only of lately has amp design caught up with the Scintilla's potential. My amp is my speaker's master, not vis versa, as had been the case, at the Scintillas inception. Transparency is what my Scintillas excel at. No dynamic speaker I have...
Bel Canto eOne amps - Is this the future? Kublakhan, you posted, so now this thread will stay on your ,"My Threads," as long as it is active.
Is Apogee in a class by itself among planars? Properly driven, Scintillas excel at sound stage, bass definition, ultra fast delivery and full frequency realization. Detail? It is in a class by itself. I thought I was hallucinating the first time I heard them in '85.
Bel Canto eOne amps - Is this the future? Eldartford, Ok, just call me Mr. Sensitive. Two things price the H2O Signature ($2,800) as high as it is.!) It is completely hand built in America. 2) A big conventional power supply does come at a premium price. Like I point out in my review, not...
Bel Canto eOne amps - Is this the future? Read my system review Eldartford. If you ever find yourself in my vicinity give me a ring for a listen that will knock your socks off.
Bel Canto eOne amps - Is this the future? Bel Canto has always been a class D proponent. They just gave up on the inferior Tripath chip for ICE technology. Other big names are experimenting with class D chips. Jeff Rowland embraced ICE modules years ago. I don't know of any solid state am...
Why should some speakers need a big room? You haven't heard a great large Apogee sound until you hear a properly driven one in a large room. I would think that applies to all large dipoles.
Bjork-Vespertine Boa is right. Bjork's musical is excellent. It will have even the most stoic person crying copious tears. Oddly, though, it is one of those tragic movies I want to see multiple times. Her Vespertine disc has been among my favorites for a long time.
Who else prefers 5751s and why? Ditto. BTW, that was a great price you got.
Best Guitar CD Recording Thanks Boa, now that the Holiday madness is over I can make time for audio interests.
Best Guitar CD Recording I love the responses, some written with great passion for the music.
Best Digital Amp for Legacy Focus 20/20? I had the eAR amp for a short time in my system. It was a revelation. It was the best sound I had on my large Apogee systems up to that time. Things just got better and better. BTW, the eAR MKII is a 500A amp.The difference between the ASP and A v...
Class D Amp For 'Stats? Currient11, Enjoy your Soundlabs. If there is anything I have learned, there are many avenues to enjoyment of music. |
