Has anyone tried new Auvio cables from Radio Shack Presumably the wire comes from the same factory in Taiwan or China which makes the "premium" or "reference" brand, right?
Budget Speaker Recommendation? I agree on Triangle. Try to find a used Celius on this site. I liked the Celius when I bought it new several years ago and I like it more every day. Both my wife and I liked it better than the B and W 600-series (683, I think) and also better than...
Artists of the Decade Radiohead without a doubt. Rolling Stone agrees. Ironic, in that I think their masterpiece (OK Computer) dates from 1997 I think.
subwoofer cable recommendations. I'm using Ultralink and couldn't hear any difference from Kimber's product. A lot cheaper. It has all the point nines and is really smooth and fast.See http://www.ultralinkcables.com/?#/products/compare/POWERED%20SUBWOOFER%20CABLES/)
Whats your current Reference CD at the moment? Also, Radiohead KID A which was voted as album of the decade by Rolling Stone.
What dac would upgrade my Music Hall CDP? I've not owned the vDac but someone I know is in the business and they've been flying off the shelves since a recent Stereophile review. No returns either. Customers with whom she has spoken think very very highly of this sub 300 product. Read the...
Integrated Amplifier for Paradigm Signature S4 Almost any quality amp will make them sing. Consider the REGA int amp line. A lot less money than their performance would indicate. The Brio would be a great choice. Anthem stuff would be a good call.
need CDP upgrade advice Given the dim future of the cd medium, it makes sense not to go too overboard. If you like the tube sound (and that may counter some of the NAD flatness/accuracy/sterility (as you will)), a goof tubed cd player like a Raysonic (128) or a Cary or U...
virtual dynamics new ultra clear interconnects Are there companies out there who will burn in cables? Obviously, the is a high risk of a scam factor at work if the vendor is dishonest, but I would think that a business like that could do ok (if located in a low electricity cost state -- not Ca...
Which DAC? Because I may be wrong and wanted the wisdom of the wider group.
Whats your current Reference CD at the moment? Lou Reed -- Perfect Night in London. Excellent recording technology that Stereotimes reviewed and gushed over.
Considering a move to Exposure or Naim You may just be craving a change in sound. Perhaps the answer is a good tubed cdp. Something like a Unico, Raysonic or a Pathos. That may be the biggest change; whether or not you like it is subjective. Anyway, worth considering. I think the only ...
Considering a move to Exposure or Naim I compared the Rega to both of these and the Classe. I couldn't hear an appreciable difference. I am convinced I have the reference cdp to match anything out there. It is called a Mac playing back in a loss less format through a good dac.
John Lennon, 29 years ago today.... Yes, and the album was Something/Anything by Todd Rundgren. It seemed that John's creative juices had been tapped out by that point, but he was still an icon.
John Lennon, 29 years ago today.... Does anyone recall what book was in the killer's pocket and what LP he was obsessed with (hint, not a Beatles or a Lennon album). |
