Yanni or Laurel?
Anyone hear "Yarry"? That's what I hear.
Am i missing something without a power conditioner?
Didn't read all the posts so hopefully I'm not repeating someone. If possible, I would add another dedicated line just for the amp. While you are at it, I would have a separate line for your analog equipment and a separate line for your digital eq...
Wow moments while listening to vinyl records
Jack Bruce "Songs for a Tailor" import, is super amazing.
HD Vinyl - The Future is Here
The biggest advantage here is that the first disc pressed, and the 10000 disc pressed, from the same stamper will be of the same quality, rather than a slow drop off of quality during the total production run. Since most LP's are from high res fil...
Digitizing LPs
Look at the Sugar Cube. It declicks as it works, so you can eliminate at least one step of the conversion process. Analogplanet has a favorable review of it up now.
SYSTEM COMPLETE FINALLY!
That's great that you found something you are happy with in only 10 years. I started almost 50 years ago now, but I am finished now.https://systems.audiogon.com/systems/3523/editYou can check out my system at the above link in the Virtual Systems....
Calling all Oracle TT owners.
I've used the Graham 2.0 with Mk III, IV, & V, and currently use the Graham Phantom III Supreme with my mk VI v.2. Both arms have worked extremely well with all my Dephii. I did have to use the stronger spring when I installed the Phantom.I th...
What does moving from a 150 watt amp to a 400 watt amp get you?
+1 what initforthemusic and timlub said. MOST of the rest of the responses do not match my 45 years of experience in this hobby. But quality will matter over quantity, and I love great big power supplies.Good listening,
Romex and breaker switches
It will depend more on your amps, but I would install the 10ga so that if you end up with amp(s) that are really power hungry you WILL get better sound out of them. I have four dedicated lines to my room, one for each mono amp, one for analog (pre...

What's your favorite lyric from a song?
"I've got a mind to give up living, and go shopping instead." Paul Butterfield
Here's a fire starter: Analog is as good as SACD
You can check out my virtual system, but it's a modified Krell KPE Reference.
Here's a fire starter: Analog is as good as SACD
My TT setup sounds waaaay better than my SACD, or previous CD setup. So much so that I sold my 5 figure CD player and have gone to a more modest priced CD/SACD player. I seldom even listen to digital anymore other than for background music.
Here's a fire starter: Analog is as good as SACD
Understand. In that case, after the speaker wire upgrade (which should be the number one thing so that you can hear the differences better), a better arm, phono, and or pre will make a difference. If you are satisfied with the sound from SACD, the...

I would suggest upgrading the speaker cables, followed by a better arm. If you can't hear a difference then, your speaker may no be as highly resolving as you want/need.My 2 cents.Best,Mike
