i have owned several tube dacs, tube amps and rube preamps.after a listening session, i turn off all tube components.tube life may be a factor, but also the possibility that if a tube ceases to function, it may damage other parts of the component.

ar 70, i decided to have my hearing tested. i was told i had "good" hearing by an audiologist. unfortunately, the highest frequency presented was 8000 hz, so i don't have a clue as to hearing beyond 20,000 hz.
