TVC Promethius versus Bent i own a bent tvc-based preamp. it is my reference. i have also heard the promitheus with the silver wire and silver rcas..i prefer the bent wired with continuous cast copper and vampire wire copper female rcas over the prometheus with silver wire.
McIntosh C220 tube question read my review of this preamp on audiophilia.com . i replaced the tubes, with hardly a noticeable difference in performance.if you speak to the technician at mcintosh, he will tell you that the sound of the preamp is independent of the tubes used.
Remotes: Who needs 'em? the concern with a mechanical device such as a remote, is a trivial pursuit. there are many more important things in life to complain about than a remote.why make a fuss over a mere bagatelle ?

Does anyone out there NOT hear a difference in CD no system is neutral. there are colorations which can be identified after serious listening. i think one should accept the fact that imperfection is reality.hopefully, one can enjoy a stereo system being aware of its limitations. an "upgrade" may ...
