Ready to move onto next stage of streaming
uberwaltz,No, the Ayre Codex is not MQA compatible. I believe the Node 2 and Vault have the same Dac. What I do know is the Codex even with standard redbook CD still sounds superior to the Node's or the Vault's on board MQA Dac. Even when they are...
New Rega Planar 6
I had a Rega RP-6 and now have a WT Amadeus Mk.ll. While I agree with a lot of what the OP said how the two compared in operation, the WT is a much better sounding table. I still think the P-6 is a cool table for the money. You can't go wrong in p...

I have heard that Lyngdorf is of very high quality, but have never had any of their stuff in my system. Just wondering how an Ayre Codex would sound hooked up to your Bluesound Vault. Good used prices out there if you were interested in trying one.
New Speakers up to $15k - The more I read the less I know!
pilrem, nonoise is correct. You really should go out and listen to various speakers in that price range. If you can get an in home demo, all the better. In regards to the speakers above, I have experience with all three. I owned a pair of B&W 8...
What is an excellent power cable?
I use Harmonic Technologies AC-11's. Lower priced cords with good results in my system.
Compare Large Advent?
I had a pair of Large Advents a few years ago and hooked them up to my main system. And ya know what? They did sound good. I gave my Nephew a restored Vintage Sherwood receiver, a Marantz CD player, and those old restored Advents. He couldn't be h...
Can a power cord increase the resolution of an Class D (SMPS) amp by more than 5% ?
I've heard the tiny improvements or worsening of the sound for that matter, in regards to power cords. While I never experimented with the mega buck priced cords, do they offer any real world improvements over more modestly priced cords? It seems ...
Can a power cord increase the resolution of an Class D (SMPS) amp by more than 5% ?
tutetibiimperes,I know and understand why a lot of people feel power cords are just so much "snake oil". If you ever get a chance to try a few, well give it a whirl. Just keep an open mind and listen closely. You might be surprised. Maybe.....
I like Steve Guttenberg.
Oh c'mon don. Don't you trust me? (sniff, sniff)
I like Steve Guttenberg.
Some of us are hair (challenged). I try to wear a cap at group audiophile listening sessions so as not to blind or distract other listeners..... :-)
Used Korean Speakers
They will "blow" you away.....
Can a power cord increase the resolution of an Class D (SMPS) amp by more than 5% ?
I have a Class D hybrid integrated amp with Hypex-400 modules.
Can a power cord increase the resolution of an Class D (SMPS) amp by more than 5% ?
I compared a small handful of upgraded cables in the $300-$350 range. Compared them to the stock cables that came with my equipment, I got varied results from no improvement, to a small improvement, to slightly worse sound. The differences I heard...
too bad Audiogon seems to have morphed to fussy, picky buyers
As a seller,  when you use the "make offer" button on Audiogon, you've pretty much opened yourself up to just about any offer imaginable, low ball or otherwise. While I agree lowball offers are infuriating, If you expect to get 70 to 80 percent of...
Confused about Rega and VTA....
I had a RP-6 some years ago. I ordered a round black disc that had various levels of height on it. You loosened the three anchor screws for the tonearm, and put this spacer under it. You turned the spacer  to get the proper level of height with it...
