Interesting video with Richard Vandersteen talking about his subs Hey Jim, Got that Crosby album too. On vinyl. Great music!
Tekton custom grills craigl59,My comments are factually accurate. Just re-read some of the comments by actual owners of Tekton speakers. And please re-read my post as you have taken what I said way out of context. I have visited several of the highend speakers places...
Can someone explain to me why : Accupahse Equipment is that expensive ? I'm not quite sure of the relevance here. Couldn't you substitute a dozen or more highend audio names other than "Accuphase" and have the same question?
Tekton custom grills craig159,You claim that nobody at the price point has Eric's quality. Even though I never have heard a new pair of Tekton anything, and I'm sure they sound respectable at their price points. But even at his prices, large rectangle boxes with rough...
Interesting video with Richard Vandersteen talking about his subs Ct. From your last post, I now understand why you kept them so long. Can't remember the exact model number/letter, but I think it was the models 3.5 and 3.6 Proacs that sounded absolutely wonderful to me. A very fine loudspeaker!
Interesting video with Richard Vandersteen talking about his subs jbrrp1,The Proac Supertower wasn't actually a bad design. I just couldn't get past that hard, sterile, titanium dome MB tweeter.
Interesting video with Richard Vandersteen talking about his subs Ct. Was that the Proac Supertower? The one with two 7" woofers flanking a MB titanium dome tweeter? If so, I auditioned that one in my home a long time ago. Very hard loudspeaker to find love for. IMOBest,Tim
Tonearm comparison, Rega vs Zeta, anyone? I'm not a big analog guy, but have a decent TT setup. A friend of mine has a very nice (and properly setup) Basis TT. with a Rega arm and Lyra Delos cart. One of the best TT setups I have heard! IMO
Which site is Best for Downloading/Uploading Hi Rez Going with Tidal is a no brainer. Even the fee of $20/month is extremely reasonable since I had heard you have access to over 26 million songs in any genre. I use a standard LG tablet with the Bluesound apt. Using a Bluesound Node 2 with Ayre Code...
Can someone explain to me why : Accupahse Equipment is that expensive ? +1, schubert,I have a Timex that is doing pretty much the same thing as the Casio. My wife got it for me at our first Chrismas after we got married. That was 38 years ago, and it still works like new. It has a program date that goes out to the ye...
Suggestions for Full Range Speakers up to 10K Audiotroy,Was just wondering. Are you one of those guys that stand at a busy intersection with a cardboard sign with large arrow on it pointing to your store?????....:-)
Suggestions for Full Range Speakers up to 10K While I can't help you on you're impression of this speaker being "mildly ugly," I think the Vandersteen Quattro Wood Ct would be the "near perfect" choice so long as it meets most of your requirements. The speakers neutral character along with al...
Vandersteen Sub woofers v Rythmik Subs Sometimes it takes Vandersteen awhile to update their web site.
Using Maple Butcher Block Under a Turntable This is not necessarily my opinion, but the folks at Mapleshade (most of you know who this is), say that butcher block maple, or any maple that is kiln dried cured (dried in large ovens), is the worst thing you can put under your turntable. He use...
Vandersteen Sub woofers v Rythmik Subs I was at a Vandy dealer in San Diego last week that had the sub 3. |
