Do posters intend to hurt the feelings of other members?
It seems to me that many of the elder (long time posters) seem to cut one another a lot of slack in heated debates. Newbies, not so much...
Bluesound Node 2i & Ayre Codex - How would this work?
I am using a Node2 with Ayre CODEX with Wireworld Super Nova 7 optical interconnect, and the sound is glorious! I'm not a huge supporter of balanced outputs, but in the case of the Codex, it took the SQ to another level. Excellent pairing, IMO.
Vandersteen 7 mark ll or big Kef blades
Audiotroy,Lets's just say that I was involved with Legacy and it's designer when they were first building speakers in a two car garage. And followed many years after that.
Vandersteen 7 mark ll or big Kef blades
Audiotroy,It was with the current Heil Amt. Wouldn't be fair comparison with older vintage Legacies. I know what the current AMT's sound like and I know "Legacy" type bass. I was probably versed with Legacy before you started selling them. Not my ...

Audiotroy,I don't know how you make a comparison with the Legacy Sigs vs. the Vandersteen Quattro Ct and say the Legacy has a larger image and much deeper bass.Legacy Sig.- 22hz-30kVandersteen Quattro Ct.- 24hz-40kOver the years, I have owned a st...
Tight bass sub recommendations
Another vote, Vandersteen.
Klipsch!. The worst speaker company, EVER?
Although I would never trust a reviewer to pick out my own personal speakers for me, I remember a few years back a reviewer at Stereophile (Sam Tellig) reviewed the new Heritage version La Scala, and he gave that speaker a class A , limited low fr...

Vandersteen 3A Sigs.
Vandersteen Treo CT
Bob, Yes, the Naim Unity Atom is 40 w/ch. It drives the Treo's with ease. It produced volume louder than I could handle when turned up, burt even at loud levels, it maintained it's clarity.
Hey That's Not So Bad if It's Class D
Nothing wrong with the sound of Class D amps. It's comments like, "They did not get me emotionally involved with the music." It's statements like that that will drive a amplifier manufacturer NUTS.
Krell KSA 250 amps
Those were, and still are wonderful amps, when working properly. I don't normally agree with ebm, but he is right about repairing them before sale. :-)
Arguments devolve on threads to wordsmithing contests
I would guess it boils down to that teeny tiny part of the audiophile brain that thinks he (everybody?) is the only one who knows how to do all things audio correctly.
Are manufacturers having discussions removed from Audiogon if they turn negative?
Some years ago when I had bought Legacy speakers, Bill Dudleston the designer/owner of Legacy halted all speaker shipping for a week. He had a head cold, his ears were stuffed up and he could not hear properly. Not one speaker was shipped at that ...
a dilemma for cartridge/phono stage combination
I think the OP would benefit greatly if he could  find a local "bricks and mortar" store (dealer} whom is versed at analog TT set-up. They could at least, steer him in the right direction to solve his problem and help him with choices. IMO.
