Missy Raines Anyone? Thanks for the heads up. I just ordered it. Never heard of her, but the samples I listened to were very good.
Sony Blue Ray: S5000es vs S2000es I just received my new Sony S350 and LOVE it! I can't believe that there could be much of an improvement over this unit. Pretty fast load and response time, (as compared to my Toshiba HD-A2, which was MEGA SLOW) and so far it has played flawlessly...
Audio Research Ref CD8 vs Esoteric X03SE If you want a deep, wide soundstage and a huge open sound this is a no brainer.....ARC CD-8.....stop your search.
Ayre's new Minimum Phase filter Audiogon member "Theo" just got his back from Ayre with the new MP upgrade. He said it made a BIG difference. Maybe he can chime in, if he sees, this with the specifics.
Glass Optical cables for WADIA?? Toslink and ST/ATT use completely different glass fiber receivers and transmitters. So these are not compatable even if you could, (which you can't) get a cable with toslink on one end and ST/ATT on the other.

Regular Cardas interconnects for VPI? Should work great. Usually the only thing that's different between a regular interconnect and a "phono" interconnect, (i.e. NON DIN...RCA to RCA) is the addition of the ground wire.

No output on New LS26 If you want to bring the LS26 over here tomorrow, it would only take about 30 seconds to hook it up to my system. That way you could tell for sure if it's "dead". I'm more than happy to help!!!
No output on New LS26 Ted,Where are sending the output from the LS26 to? If you are sending it to your Mcintosh pre/proc are you selecting the correct setting on the Mcintosh? If you can, hook up the CD player direct to the LS26, then take the output from the LS26 direc...
No output on New LS26 Also make sure that you have the tubes seated properly. If you have a bent pin that is missing the socket, the preamp won't come out of mute. Can you see if both tubes are lighting up? Maybe a bad tube? Did you get an extra set of tubes?
No output on New LS26 Ted,Make sure that the "Processor" is OFF, the "Monitor" is off and the "Mute" is off. I can come over if you need any help. Just let me know. |
