Fatigue reducing interconnect? I was a Kimber dealer for many years and was always very careful on recommending the 8TC. The 8TC speaker cable is pretty "zippy" in the high frequencies. I found it worked great on more laid back, softer type tweeters. It can be quite bright soun...

ARC LS22 and pre tubes There is a recent ad here on Audiogon for some Philips JAN 6922 for $7 bucks each. These are pretty decent tubes, especially for that kind of money. These are NOT my tubes and I have no affiliation with the seller, just passing on a good deal.
What were the best and worst rooms at RMAF 2009? Since I'm a panel/electrostatic kinda guy, I really liked the Kings Audio Electrostatics. Just wonderful!I also liked the Bel Canto/Joseph Audio room. The mbl room was also very well done and sounded good.I concure also on the Vienna Die Muzick an...
smokin' recommendation: Evan Parker's "TIME LAPSE" Sorry, I didn't mean to upset you or go against your vast opinion based knowledge of music. But by posting "one of the most shockingly brilliant albums of solo sax I have ever heard", you are opening up quite a juggernaut. "If you don't like it, f...

Sota sapphire platter won't spin Does the platter spin manually, i.e. if you turn it by hand? If not, the SOTA's have a platter lock underneath the table, right in the center of the table below the platter center spindle. You need to loosen the two nuts on the bottom and then uns...

Moscode Minuet in "A" tubes I'm pretty sure that the 12AX7s are the phono stage tubes. It's been awhile since I owned the Minuet though.
Are ML CLS speakers a match with SS BAT amps? Sorry, I might to include this link to the Martin Logan's Users Group. You can read forever here and see that there are a wide variety of amps used. The Pass Labs amps are pretty popular.http://www.martinloganowners.com/forum/
Are ML CLS speakers a match with SS BAT amps? I had a BAT VK220 for awhile on my CLSIIA's, but it just didn't have enough power and/or control. It did sound very good, but not big enough. I'm sure the VK600SE would be more than ample.I haven't heard, (on my CLS system), but in others CLS syst...
SME IV vs V The bearings are a little better in the V:"Many of the component parts of the Series IV are similar, if sometimes less rarefied, to those in the V. For example, bearings of ABEC-3 tolerance are used instead of ABEC-7."This link has a pretty detail... |
