ls FM radio even listenable any more?
Thanks for the link to Vinyl Voyage Radio! Been listening for awhile. Pretty damn good. http://www.vinylvoyageradio.com/p/schedule.html The 80’s on Mondays are from 6AM to 7PM, not 24 hours and it states "Manic Monday. All 80’s, all day long". So,...
Tweaking the new Grado Timbre Sonata 3
I had Grados for many years...cartridges, headphones....they all need lots of time before they dance. Be patient +1...I was a Grado dealer for many years and have owned a ton of their stuff.  I probably have at least a dozen different Grado cartri...
classe twenty five and classe fifteen
Sorry, I meant to older, classic, vintage, original Classe amps.
classe twenty five and classe fifteen
The model numbers of the Classe amplifiers had nothing to do with the power rating.  They were close, but not exact.  Even the "Seventy" amp was rated at 75 watts.
Modwright Umbilical cords
I think Revelation Audio Labs still makes one.  That's the one I used and it sounded great.  YMMV. http://www.revelationaudiolabs.com/cables-power/index.htm#PassagePower
review my list please
I agree with erik. At this price level there are a lot of very good brands. What you have assembled is SWEET for sure, but what else have you heard?I would maybe swap out the Sonos streamer with a Bluesound Node2i, but the rest is pretty nice!
Audio Research Sold
https://www.analogplanet.com/content/mcintosh-group-sells-audio-research-corporation-tws-enterprises-llc Trent is a really good guy.  He has worked for both Sumiko and Magico.  I think he will do a great job at the helm of ARC.
Blood On The Tracks MoFi UD1S
Monk and Mingus are scheduled for release (don’t hold your breath I’m told) and I think these will be better examples for the method and higher quality vinyl. Both of these are already out here in the states.  Have been for awhile.  They are in...
Outstanding service from MusicDirect in the USA and Avid Hifi in the UK, read on please!
I've been doing business with Jim (Davis) for as long as I can remember.  Music Direct is Top-Notch in my book.Jon is my go to guy.  What a great company.
Shipping. Hard Lesson.
I just had this happen with a really nice cassette deck.  The unit was packaged correctly by the seller, but UPS did a number on it anyway. Both of us also " commiserated over a fine piece of equipment destroyed".  Nice way to say it.Sorry for you...
ModWright SWL 9.0 Anniversary Edition Phono Stage
I had this pre for quite a few years with the phono stage.  IMHO, you'd be hard pressed to find a better sounding phono stage for $350.
Rega planar 25/rb600 cartridge recommendations
IIRC, the AT150Sa was/is the replacement for the 150MLX.  I've tried the 150Sa stylus on my 150MLX and though it sounded great.  I was curious if it was better/worse, but really it sounded pretty damn good.  Couldn't really tell a huge difference....
Rega planar 25/rb600 cartridge recommendations
I have owned a P25 for many years.  The table has almost every aftermarket mod you can put on it.  I've tried numerous cartridges on it.Currently it has an Audio Technica AT-150MLX that works and sounds wonderful.
Mat for Rega P10
@arturgorniak The Teac mat is VERY thin.  It's not as bad as the mat that came with the Sumiko Analog Survival Kit, but you'll need to keep the residual static electricity at bay or it will come up with the record.I use one on my custom VPI table ...
Mat for Rega P10
@arturgorniak The Funk Firm mats are available in either 3mm or 5mm thickness.  I also have a couple of the Teac "washi" mats that work very well on the other tables.  I like the FF mat better on the Regas, but the Teac mat is very good.
