Unless the CD player has a controllable variable output, you'll need a preamp also.

Agree with the above, however the 3.7i with (2) DWM would be the best :-)  Just trying to spend your money for you.

The JBL L-100 Century was my first pair of real speakers.  IMHO, one the best rock-n-roll speakers ever made.Wish I still  had them...

Thanks guys for the input.  I was pretty sure that's how the BlueSound product worked.Also, if I've read the Sony HAP manual correctly, the only way to get CDs into it's internal drive is via the CD drive on a computer with Sony's proprietary soft...

You really couldn’t go wrong with either one and IMHO, they would be an upgrade from the RPM9.1.The Rega is pretty much a set it up and forget it about unit. Excellent musicality.The VPI will probably give you more bass impact and detail.That’s a ...

What kind of phono stage do you have?The 2M Black and 2M Bronze are moving magnet carts with a pretty high output, (5mv).The Zu/Denon 103 is a very low output moving coil (.3mv).If you have the gain, the Zu/Denon is a wonderful cart. I have one on...
