One thing I wanted to add but for some reason the edit window wouldn't let me.Seems like someone could engineer/build one heck of a good linestage with a modest number of connections features.(I shouldn't have to say this but will just in case.......

I'll check back with him tomorrow ...but I believe its the cd2 (not the s)....he's had some really nice stuff in his system including the upper model arc stuff (which sounded good too)...but this one's a whole different league...it sounded so anal...

One other thing...the only issue I've ever experienced re. applelossless on an IPOD is with the 3rd Generation Nano...there's a brief drop in the beginning of every song...Not real significant ...but there nonetheless... Have not experienced this ...

Apple lossless...best for multiple reasons...no (theoretical) loss in quality...and much smaller drive consumption. (Note: I see theoretical...but In my experience...No loss in quality whatsoever.
