Short speaker cable recommendation Philjolet,I just checked the link and it still works. The eBay seller of the Western Electric 16ga wire is named tajacobs. Legit, that is where Grannyring, I, and the Day Blog responders are buying. The only other sellers I am aware of are in Japa...
Short speaker cable recommendation Grannyring, I'll have to defer to you about all the DIY. I have NO experience. But I'm willing to purchase both the Jupiter and Arizona Cactus, Green/Blue and compare/contrast. I trust I can call on you, Jetrexpro, as well as others on Agon as I v...
Short speaker cable recommendation Here is a link to Arizona Capacitors: http://www.arizonacapacitors.com/about-us.phpThey are located in Tucson, Arizona.
Short speaker cable recommendation Grannyring,I think the Arizona caps are slightly less expensive, for some reason $42.00 sticks in my brain. I'm willing to bet Yazaki-san has tried nearly every decent Cap from NOS to modern.
Short speaker cable recommendation I was initially going to install Jupiter capacitors in my redo of the Coincident Dynamo integrated, but now will go with the Arizona. I am likely to also replace the Nomex internal wiring with the WE 16ga? I have some pretty good NOS Rectifiers, M...
Short speaker cable recommendation Grannyring,The Arizona Caps are covered on the Jeff Day Wordpress Blog you referenced above. Check out the Yazaki-san recommended changes to Day's system via his capacitor change and update. I think you will find it enlightening. Yazaki-san use th...
Short speaker cable recommendation Grannyring,I could not agree more. I put the WE 16ga against my Goertz silver AG1, it lost. I also put it up against some other respected speaker cables that cost in the high hundreds. They also lost. Mr. Yazaki-san and his crew have some wonderfu...
Short speaker cable recommendation Grannyring,I'm glad I turned the board on to Jeff Day Blog on the Western Electric 16ga tinned copper wire as well as the Belden 8402 microphone cable as interconnect. I am also glad you are spreading the word. A big shout-out to Jeff Day and his ...
California Audio Labs Delta Transport I have a Cal Audio Labs remote for the CL10, don't know if it works with the Delta? If yes, make offer. It is basically 9 of 10 on Audiogon rating system. Best, Rob
Looking for really fine cables at really low price Grannyring,My WE 16ga maintained smoothness throughout the break-in, yet kept getting better with time in regard to detail and imaging. They are especially a good match with the Belden 8402. With this combo in my system I get the superb imaging an...
Looking for really fine cables at really low price John421,Individual length, so, if you need a one (1) meter pair of interconnect you need approximately six (6) feet of cable. Best-Tronics will cut for you any length as long as you buy their minimum of ten (10) feet. Best-Tronics will also termin...
Looking for really fine cables at really low price Grannyring,They keep getting better as they settle in, about 100hrs they should be there. More detail and image is on the horizon, although my system didn't lack for either in my set-up, but I completely agree with your descriptors thus far.
Looking for really fine cables at really low price Best-Tronics is excellent source for Belden and other pro stuff. Did excellent job for me. Tajacobs also top-notch.
JBL 4425 or Yamaha NS-1000 ? pls vote I also had the Yamaha NS1000, late 70s in San Francisco. I really enjoyed them with Electronica such as Tangerine Dream, Eno, 60s and 70s Rock. I drove them with, what else, tubes, took out the sometimes hot top end. Overall, a good speaker.
Looking for really fine cables at really low price I'm going bare wire as is Jeff Day, Yazaki-san and almost all Day's responders. |
