Jazzonthehudson,The Furutech F11and F28 work extremely well. I'd g with the WE 10 gauge for pc on power amp. WE 14 gauge for pre/cd/DAC, although I prefer the Beldem 8402 as interconnect. Best, Rob

Grannyring,I was just following your lead and as usual it turned out to be a stellar move. Have you read some of Jeff Day's latest blog posts? Some good info on his USB wire experiment. Plus he bought Maestro Leopold Stowkowski's Altec Voice Of Th...
Why does a Sony PlayStation sound good to me?
Dylanfan,I really like the sound of the original PlayStation 1 (1001) with RCAs. You can improve the sound further without subtracting what you like about it by adding the Furutech power cord and inexpensive Belden 8402 interconnect. I did and lov...

Great to hear Bob,My WE16ga speaker cables are the best I have ever owned. I sold all my speaker cables that cost from high hundreds to multiple thousand without regrets. I also made a power cord out of WE10ga and it sounds outstanding. Happy Than...
why do people feel the need to buy expensive cable
As quoted in one of the worst movies ever (but great for a hearty belly laugh), Plan Nine From Outer Space, the alien states, "you Earth Men are idiots." Of course, in some cases, you can substitute "audiophile" for "Earth Men." Ok, don't get angr...

Geez, just read this whole thread; what a belly laugh!!! The definition of hyperbole. Some of you sound like the Straw Man in the Wizard of Oz attempting to prove he has a brain. The hypotenuse...is connected to the funny bone... Best, Rob
desktop speakers for low watt tube integrate
I'd likely go with Omega, Blumenthal, or Tekton small desktop speakers, single driver, coherent sound...for half your budget. Long break-in, but then magical near-field. Best, Rob
Devore Gibbon X or O/96?
These speakers (0/96) are on my short list as well. Tone, coherent, good all-around, and they will work splendidly with my low-powered amps. I really like them. My brother just bought a pair of the DeVore 0/96 used at a fabulous price...he is movi...

EL34 SE as stable with complex music as EL84 PP ?
The Music Reference amps are superb. I've owned both the RM-10 (EL84) and RM-10. So, second Bdp24, good choice. Most of the speakers they drove were 87-89db, 4ohm. Best, Rob
