Best of both worlds, Vandersteen and B&W
I have the Vandersteen 2CE Sig II I'm very satisfied with the bass. Driven by McIntosh monoblocks MC601 (600 watts per amp)
Vandersteen
Not a 3A Sig but I do have the 2CE Sig II powered by McIntosh monoblocks MC 601, 600 watts per amp and never experience any falling apart. I love my 2CE Sig II as they just get better and better as it aged.
Who thinks $5K speaker cable really better than generic 14AWG cable?
If you have high end/audiophiles equipments like amps, preamp, speakers, etc, then if you need to buy expensive cables to make your system to sound good or better, then you don't really have highness/audiophiles equipments to begin with. Does this...
Is there a huge diff, between 2CE Sig II & 3A Sig?
It has been 6 years now since the last post and I still have my 2CE Sig II
Mcintosh C2600 preamp tube upgrade
Yes, use the Gold Lion for the main guarantee your CD will sound great.

You should start hearing some difference around the first 200 hours.
Mcintosh C2600 preamp tube upgrade
Yes, it's significant. The clarity, sound stage, the transparency are very well improved, but you will only noticed this after you're done breaking in your C2600

I have a C2300 with Telefunkn smooth plate for the MC phono and Gold Lion for The line stage with very good result.
Using "pre-outs" of an integrated amp provide sound quality equal to a separate pre-amp?
Separates is the best way to go in terms of sound quality. I have five monoblocks, one for each channel and I couldn't be happier.
Your first component that was "special"
First thing I bought out of my own hard earned money was the Vandersteen 2CE Sig. II and the McIntosh C2300 tube preamp.
Looking for SACD player............
Oppo for me
Mellow speakers
I too vote for Vandersteen. I have the Vandersteen 2CE Sig II and love the clarity and the mellowness of it. Highly recommend.

It's "Neil Old" now LOL!
Vandy 3A and "Signature"
Not a 3A Sig, but I own the 2A Sig 2 and love it. I believe the 3A Sig and my 2A sig 2 both uses the same tweeter and midrange driver of the Vandersteen 5A
BEST AMPS FOR WILSON SASHA
I've heard the Sasha powered by McIntosh MC452 (450/ch) and it sounded superb.
