A Story about a Defective Signature Platinum
@terry9 , Being a pioneer is fine and dandy, but there is an aesthetic element that you have to pay attention to.
Looking for a Warmer Sounding Phono Cartridge
I have owned both a Soundsmith and the Charisma. The Charisma is a significantly warmer sounding. It is also very dynamic and quiet because of it's Gyger S stylus.  The Soundsmith is more accurate and just as quiet but the OP wanted warm.
To condition or not ?
Some turntables already have a "conditioner" as part of their drive system. Turntables that generate a signal for the motor to run on would not benefit from a "conditioner" The AC lines frequency is held to very tight standards. Turntables with pl...

Looking for Turntable Reccomendations
@lewm  Much safer to go with the Oracle. It is a great turntable even by modern standards.
Looking for Turntable Reccomendations
@perkri  Most people do not want to get that involved. They want to buy a table, mount the arm, plug it in and go. There are not many crazy fools like you and me.
Looking for Turntable Reccomendations
The 12" arm is the sticking point. The Kuzma Stabi R is the least expensive new turntable I can think of that will take a 12" arm. Some of the Clearaudios may be able to take a 12" arm. Many of us would tell you to get rid of the 12" arm because w...
