FEZZ audio You need two and use them in Mono Mode.
Dirac Live Calibration Absolutely, Dirac live is the easiest of all the room control programs to use and it is reasonable effective. I have used it in my system. Benchmark Media uses the MiniDSP SHD Studio with two of their own DAC with great results. There are room c...
Step Up Transformers….Are they Worth the Trouble? @rauliruegas You know me. I will look at that stylus under high mag and If I do not like it, away it goes. I will post pictures on Imgur along with the others.
New Cartridge advice Unless you plan on spending over $2000 on a moving coil cartridge I would stick with high output cartridges. You get much more for your money and in that price range better performance. Look at the Nagaoka MP 500, Any one of the high output SoundS...
Step Up Transformers….Are they Worth the Trouble? @dover Nice picture @rauliruegas the SAS is a micro ridge design. I have a micro ridge stylus on my Hyperion. The Shure variant was probably cut differently. Todays laser profilers are better than anything they had back then. I will get the SAS bo...
Step Up Transformers….Are they Worth the Trouble? @rauliruegas Where an I going to get one of those?
SME 3009 II (improved) won't balance with Shure V15 III Excellent. Lettuce know how it sounds! The arm is on the heavy side for a V15 and adding weight to the headshell would work, but the slightest wobble would send the arm airbourne.
Step Up Transformers….Are they Worth the Trouble? @rauliruegas so what did you think of the V15 V SAS/Boron?
Subwoofer Advice 2 Are you sure? What you posted indicates that you can. It is probably a programming issue done by computer. It makes no sense for Anthem to leave you without any adjustability. ML must have a helpline. Look into it!
Subwoofer Advice 2 OK @navyachts you are still way bass shy. Your crossover is at 300 hz. The program mentions deep bass boost. It starts at 100 Hz which is fine. Move the center frequency up to 60 Hz and set the deep bass boost at +6 dB if it will let you. Now pla...
Step Up Transformers….Are they Worth the Trouble? @lalitk I am way in on musicality, but it should rest with the music.
Subwoofer Advice So, you like it better now? I have a new preamp processor and I have been using DSP since 1996. It still took me some god awful number of trials to get things working reasonably well. Part of the problem is I have a strange setup. Anyway, The manu...
Rel sub @fertguy One sub NEVER works well. You wind up with a disturbing modal pattern in almost any room, bass here, none there. Creating accurate bass below 60 Hz Also requires a lot of acoustic power which requires surface area (big drivers) and long e...
Cartridge upgrade @rfauto You have a Manley Chinook and can play any cartridge MM, MI or MC without a step up transformer. You are cleared for any cartridge except perhaps the lowest output MCs with outputs below 0.2mv. You could use them but won't have the greates...
Cartridge upgrade @rfauto The Voice is $3000 and a great buy. I have heard it up against $10,000 MC cartridges and it more than held its own. Turn the volume all the way up with your preamp on Phono without any music playing. What do you hear? Now turn the volume o... |
