Analog vs digital?
Analog for chilled out, catching a buzz, smile on your face listening. Digital for convenience, adhd, going from 1 song to the next listening. Both have their place in the enjoyment of music. But for me, analog is the best. I just can’t beat my VP...
Is it my amp or my speakers?
That krell integrated is garbage and I own krell amps. It is cheaply made and sounds nothing like a krell. It’s fatiguing and bright and makes you want to pull your hair out. I’d dump it. Good luck.
What sends shivers down your spine when you play it on your system?
Roxy music/ avalonjeff Buckley/ gracepil/ albumbruce cockburn/ stealing firethe cult/ love the church/ starfish.
High gain preamps [30db +]
Agree with Conrad Johnson. I have a cj and a krell Pam 5. The cj is much louder at 9 o’clock then the Pam 5. I’d say 30%.
Most hyped turntable, tonearm, and cartridge?
A modern 3k tt will trump any of those vintage ones. They are pretty though.

Relatively small speaker with a "big" performance: Role Audio Starship SE model
Agree with teajay. Good 2 way monitors disappear. I’ve got 2 different sets. They are so good people can’t believe the sound coming out of them. They make me smile. I’d love a floorstander that could do the same. I’ll look into these. Thank you
Step me up from Paradigm Studio 20 v4 bookshelf, seriously.
Check out a pair of music culture rl-21s on usaudio. They are magnificent sounding small loudspeakers. I heard a pair at Rmaf years ago. Blew my mind. If I needed a small pair of speakers right now, I’d buy them. Best of luck
Am I out of my mind? #obsessed
Pledge works great. I use it my head. Keeps it nice and shiny and dust free.
smaller speakers for critical listening?
Music culture rl-21. Some of the best stand mounts I’ve ever heard. From Germany. Davis low/ mid drivers from France and usher silk dome tweeters. Just spectacular. Very hard speaker to locate in USA. I’ve got some diapason adamantes. They are awe...

What's the best and/or favorite piece of equipment you've owned? And do you still own it?
Krell ksa100. All original. Getting it recapped this week after 30yrs. Can’t wait. Pioneer pl-630tt with ortofon black mm cart. Still works and sounds great. Things sure were made well back then.
