Hope everyone is having a great weekend! We’ve got the music playing, the game on, and steaks on the grill. I’ll visit with you guys in a little bit. But before I get back to the game I want to thank you guys for asking about me and my products. h...
Talk but not walk?
Actually Glupson (as has been pointed out on at least half of the pages) the questions have been answered. Some people have come up and said "I get it" and others stay on spin cycle upset that the answers given were not to their liking.check this ...

Steve, sorry but your post makes me giggle, and once again we have two good examples of why the OP was made. Steve followed up by uber of course. No Biggie though, this thread has amazed me and many others a few times.Steve, I'm quite sure your BS...

Here’s another threadhttp://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/pieces-of-music-that-digital-can-t-get-right In this one it talks about things that digital can’t do. Ok, so I have several copies of "Ventura Highway" on digital, and I can make any adjus...
Neutral or Detailed. You can't have both
Hi ErikCan I change the word neutral to natural? Michael Green
Pieces of music that digital can't get right
I would go one step further and say "every source device does require unique tweaks to get optimal results".MG
Pieces of music that digital can't get right
For me personally, I don’t use multi-source same system settings for doing any referencing. This was a big issue back in the Tape Vinyl source days, and was one of the major reasons Equalizers were used. It never really worked, using preamp sectio...
What were your humble beginnings on the path to high end audio?
Pretty darn cool stories!! I was born into the hobby. My cousin's Doc Watson and my aunt & uncle owned a private charter jet biz for entertainers, so I always had cool HiFi and recording gear around me. MG

Hi MitchThis thread is about talking without really walking, and the question, why fake it if you haven't really done it.I find the thread I pointed to as doing exactly that. I don't fault the OP or the participants. I simply ask, why do people in...

This thread's OP says what it says. "why fake it?". The answers to this are spread throughout this forum.MG
DIY Audio Rack [*fail*]
Hi ChilehedYep after the dampening is gone you should give another report. And from there I'd be happy to help.220 is going to close the pores so the poly isn't going to soak in as much but with pine you still might be ok (will just take longer to...

Actually 4'33" is a good example. If someone is experiencing black silences with digital that's a sign that the system is out of tune. mg
Stillpoints - snake oil?
Good to see people tuning! It’s important to remember, no two systems are going to be "Tuned" the same. The Audio Trilogy comes down to 3 simple parts Electrical, Mechanical and Acoustical. The "Method of Tuning" you use is as important as your tu...
Pieces of music that digital can't get right
"Ok am I right with these observation?."Blueranger, your using the same components for both sources. One input is "tuned" to your Table. Your CDP needs it's own system so you can tune it in to your digital source. Systems using CD's require comple...

Since starting this thread we have seen at least 50 threads that give testament to the OP.here is another onehttp://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/why-are-some-audiophiles-critical-of-those-that-purchase-expensive-gear
