Does vinyl outsell the hi rez formats?
Ok, let's use the RIAA figures. In 2003 the combined SACD and DVD-A units shipped equal 1.9 million with a value of 34.3 million. Vinyl has 1.5 million units shipped with a value of 21.7 million. It's clear that SACD and DVD-A have the higher numb...
ipod/itunes problems
Looks like a few feathers have been ruffled by my comment...Roundmoundofsound, I wasn't offended nor did I mean to offend, it's just my opinion. The guys at the ultra high end shops in my area still wear blue jeans as do I. It's got nothing to do ...
ipod/itunes problems
You'll have to excuse me on this one, but I don't think ipod anything has a place here.
How do you shield a Center speaker?
Most manufacturers that shield their speakers use the bucking magnet approach, it's simple and effective. Any change in the Q of a driver is too small to make any difference and will not be noticed by your ears. IMO, lining the inside of a speaker...

Which mit cable ???
If the inputs on your pre amp are fixed or buffered the M1's will not work well, however the S1's would be perfect.

"There is an organic wholeness that the TriVista possesses that just sounds right, and sounds closer to the real thing."You hit the nail on the head! I've never heard any other gear that gets it as right as the Tri-Vista series.

If you're spraying lacquer you'll need to use a vinyl sealer. If you're spraying paint you'll need to use a primer. In either case you will have to sand between coats and after the final coat has cured for at least a couple of weeks you'll have sa...
SACD on its way out?
That's funny Audiobugged, I found that a tubed SACD player will run circles around old school vinyl and all it's hassle.
SACD on its way out?
Hardly! SACD is going strong while in fact DVD-A/DualDisc might be the one to go.http://www.highfidelityreview.com/news/news.asp?newsnumber=12377501
PS Audio versus Musical Fidelity amp/preamp???????
IMO, you can't go wrong with MF gear.
