beryllium vs diamond
Cts, no foul. You're one of the good guys on here & a knowledgeable chap. I think what you described sounds like fine dining. Something about the art of combining all those elements into a good dish ;)
New CD player, Transport or DAC?
I own a high end cd player (Vitus) which makes old cds sound musical and enjoyable, so given my music collection is mostly comprised of cd's, it is a great friend. The Vitus is also a great dac. Though unlike you, I have a relatively small collect...
beryllium vs diamond
Cts, I should talk much less about Magico, perhaps less about Vandersteen also. I still plan to listen to some Vandy's so I can see evaluate their strengths. Richard Vandersteen is an interesting guy, so i'm sure they wouldn't fail to impress.
why do people feel the need to buy expensive cable
10-27-15: TonykayAudiolabyrinth,Of course you agree with melbguy1, you work for Tara Labs! Iguess you thought no one knew that.Tonkay, fyi my Dealer may carry TL, but I couldn't give a rats behind about those cables. I use Jorma Prime and Statemen...

Badri, fair call. Hopefully you've got some good options out of the responses so far (including my own).

@Whart, I guess I have a different constitution. I believe if you post a thread asking for opinions from members, it is common courtesy to participate in your thread & reply to posters...if only to thank them for their input.
why do people feel the need to buy expensive cable
10-27-15: TonykayTo summarize, if you can't clearly discern the differences between cables it is probably that your system isn't at the level of the cables, or your maybe ears aren't sophisticated enough to hear the differences. Really...seriously...
Cable Cooking/Burnin
I like to cook my cables for 1 hr in extra virgin olive oil on medium-high heat. You just need to turn them over after 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown. Works a treat!
why do people feel the need to buy expensive cable
The usual reason audiophiles dismiss more expensive cables in a-b comparisons is because to be blunt, their systems aren't capable of clearly revealing the differences.

I noticed the OP hasn't responded to any posts. Looks like he's had a change of direction..
The best speaker you ever heard?
Maybe one day Magico will learn the secret to drawing you into the music..
beryllium vs diamond
Cts, most impressive. From the sounds of things Vandersteen make the most natural sounding speakers bar none..
Admittedly a bit lost
10-25-15: PeterhGo to Madisound or another speaker parts company and buy a kit that is easy to assemble. They will advise you as to your amps capability and speaker requirement. They are aware of your needs as to easy to drive speakers. You don't h...
beryllium vs diamond
Cts, I also aim for natural. Please refer to my post in the other thread. One can't forget that diamond is a form of carbon. And if you've read up on Magico's M Project, you would be aware that Magico made big strides forward with their latest MBD...
The best speaker you ever heard?
Calvin, I also have not been able to warm to the Wilson speakers. To my ears the Alexia's have an airy top end and good sound staging, but have bloated, flabby bass which also smeared the midrange. I prefer Magico's sealed box approach which allow...
