Suggestions on Integrated to drive Tyler Ref. Mon
Waiting for my Taylo 7Us to arrive, so no first hand experience, but I do hear so many good things about Rouge Audio. I will be using an Anthem Amp 2, and hope they mate well.
Amp for Paradgim Studio 100
thanks Oz
Amp for Paradgim Studio 100
Oz...did you like the Sunfire over Bryston? I used to own a Carver amp, which had tons of power, but really fell short on detail, especially in the upper ranges. I admit I am prejudice against Sunfire due to my experience with Carver, and am curio...
Amp for Paradgim Studio 100
I agree Bish...Paradigm makes some solid speakers. I own the version 1 so I do hear some faults in the speakers, but thats why Paradigm made the v.2, however at "moderate to high" volumes, those speakers shine.
I am pissed
let it go...aint nuthin you can do thats worth wasting your time over.
Amp for Paradgim Studio 100
I have used Maratnz MA 500s (biamped) on the 100s and am currently using an Anthem Amp 2 which I just love. The Anthem SE version sells for under 1K used. I've also demoed Levinson 333 which rocked (of course). I have seen people use mid-fi reciev...
OK to use a 4 or 5 Channel amp to bi-amp?
Atzen,I used 4 Marantz MA 500s to bi-amp my Paradigm Ref 100s, and thought it was an amazing setup, especially for how inexpensive the MA500s are (if bi-amping, I'd recommend the MA500s over the 700s, and take the money saved on buying the 500s an...
PsAudio 300?
thats one of the big reason I did not go thru the trouble of demoing the Power Director...a lot of non descript sometimes conflicting info. I'm sure the 300 does a good job, but am happy with the Cinepro (or any other quality product of it's like).
PsAudio 300?
Are you sure about that N_2?This is from PS Audio's website:The Power Plants are NOT a filter or balanced transformer. These are actual AC generators that produce perfectly clean AC power under ANY conditions, even when the incoming AC is clipped ...
Audio and HT - Finding Balance
I would agree with Nar to a point. In my first scenario, I would not lose a think in sound quality with a pre that has ht pass through. Also, and amp good enough for reference 2-channel will suffice for HT (tube amps excluded). You have to decide ...
PsAudio 300?
I have been following the progression from Power Plant since in was introduced. I went to my high end dealer and told them about it and was blown off in a way that made me finally realize these people were snobs...4 months later they started carri...
Audio and HT - Finding Balance
I am in your boat, well #2...I am currently using a lexicon dc1 pre, anthem amp2....rest of my system is irreleveant for my response.Anyway, I want Reference quality 2-channel first, then HT will fall into place. I have narrowed the plan down to t...
Speakers Needed: Audiophile Taste - Low Budget
Paradigm Ref speakers are great speakers, and the 20s just got a good review in Stereophile (I think that was the mag). May also want to take a look at the Taylo Ref Monitors listed here in Audiogon. Give Ty a call, and I'm sure he'd provide a tri...
Counterfit Telefunken Tube?
Thanks Ed...I will post soon. I just popped them in, and I like what I hear so far. The soundstage is wider and more focused. My sweet spot is back. I don't want to prematurley judge them since I just realized last night the Siemens set I had in w...
Richard Gray's Power Company
No experience with RGPC, but someone asked about balanced power. I am using the CinePro PowerPro20 and from the first moment it entered my system I noticed a major differences. I know these terms are used all too often, but I feel I now understand...
