The ultimate integrated amp. I've been doing some similar exploring... what about the Plinius 9200? The fact that it has what appears to be a pretty good phono section is important to me.
Anyone tried new VH Audio Air Sine Cable? Your best bet is to talk with Chris, but here's a link for more info ...http://venhaus1.com/airsine.html
Anyone tried new VH Audio Air Sine Cable? I replaced the stock Sidewinder on my Shunyata Hydra (orig) with one of Chris's AirSine cables about a month ago. I haven't had time to writeup a full review but I have done some A/Bing between the Sidewinder and the AirSine... The improvements we...
Amazing ''Overachieving'' products...your pick? Great Northern Sound mods! OK, these aren't exactly cheap, but definitely overachieving. I have GNSC Ref mods on both an ARC SP9 preamp and Wadia 830 CDP and am amazed at the improvements.
Amazing ''Overachieving'' products...your pick? Since Thorman mentioned the VH Audio Flavor 4 PCs (which I totally agree), I have to include the VH Audio Pulsar ICs as well. Amazing bang for the buck.
DK Design NOS Valves? 10 years on these tubes seems like a real stretch. Unless you're turning the amp on only when you listen (and doing that infrequently), it seems highly unlikely that tubes would last for 10 years. If left on 24x7, I would think you'd be replacing ...
1970's Audio Research Equipment, worth having? My oldest piece of equipment is an ARC SP9 mkII preamp. Perhaps not the best ARC as done, but certainly not the worst. A few years back I listened to the LS25 thinking it might be time to upgrade. While I felt it was a definite improvement, it als...
what amp. to power areial 10-t speakers I've had my 10Ts for about 7 years and love them. I'm driving them with a Levinson 331 amp which sounds great but gets a bit hard as a crank up the volume. I've been thinking about trying one of the newer class D amps but haven't done so yet. Some...
Review: H2o Audio Signature Monoblocks Well it seems that introducing the H2O to my system (and comparing to my Levinson) is not destined to be. After a number of email exchanges with Henry, it seems that my AR SP9 (tube output) preamp, which has a recommended load of 60k-100k ohms wit...
Aerial 10T Beware? Another Look & Buyer's Guide I've been a 10T owner since mid 90s (#s 100573, 574). Does anyone know how many pairs of 10Ts Aerial ultimately made/sold?
sexiest sounding female vocalists? Holly Cole!
Review: H2o Audio Signature Monoblocks For what it's worth, I did get a response back from Henry today about a possible Signature upgrade for the S-250. His response was..."Yes the Stereo can be upgrade later also but it will be down the road."I take that as a technically-possible-but-...
Review: H2o Audio Signature Monoblocks Yes I did, and more recently started wading through all the posts out on the Apogee site. Do you think Henry will ultimately offer a Signature upgrade to the S-250? That is the one aspect of the Monos that is keeping me on the fence between the two.
Review: H2o Audio Signature Monoblocks Henry's response to a similar question is that the Monos offer more focus, bass dynamics and separation -- which I certainly don't question... Mostly, I'm seeking insight on how much of a difference to determine if I should pop for the stereo S250...
Review: H2o Audio Signature Monoblocks Can anyone compare the S-250 H20 with the M-250 (or Signature)? I'm very interested in trying one of these to compare to my Levinson 331 amp using my Aerial 10T speakers. I have no doubt that the M-250 & Signature are a step up from the S-250 ... |
