I wasn’t sure where to classify this… @riley804 When you are home for 10 days with no power, you get bored. The generator I have is a large construction generator that will power my minisplit AC I have for my gaming room/office, which is where I’d be living in the event of a hurrican...
Help picking an amp to work with my system Something like the the NAD however, can pre-amp for movie theater purposes, and can also be the solo in between for my Sonos… there is nothing wrong with using it that way…. Stand alone for 2ch, and only using preamP for movie theater.
Help picking an amp to work with my system So here is an idea.. one of my buddies recommended a NAD M22 which seems like a nice solution.. however, correct me if I’m wrong, but a majority of the high power draw and the low impedance is coming from the 2 - 8” subs in each speaker… what if i...
Help picking an amp to work with my system A Sub is definitely in the plan. When, I’m not sure. I can’t run DTS sound and multiple other audio formats without the sub. Receivers won’t allow you to run those formats and re-route your low end to your mains unfortunately. Unfortunately, m...

Is Tidal messing up for you? Would you Choose Amazon over it? Ironically, I contacted Tidal support, pointing out the fact that identical songs played both, through my sonos on my home system with the cable internet, and my car playing, using AT&T cell service to stream, have the same corrupted issues…. ...
DACs oh my! @audiotroy problem with that is I’m looking to make these a part of my surround sound too. That’s great for a stereo listening room, but not so good for a surround sound setup switching between watching movies and listening to music.
DACs oh my! @ghdprentice for me, I’ve always found (at least in surround sound), that a good receiver can make crappy speakers sound better than good speakers can make a crappy surround sound receiver sound. I had a Denon 3805 receiver many years ago. To br... |
