Your favorite obscure song
Certainly not obscure for true Elton John fans, but I love Love Lies Bleeding from Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. It’s a great workout for my B&W 702S3s.
Why hasnt a turntable manufacturer produced a table with automatic tonearm return/shutoff?
I have a Dual CS 529. It’s fully automatic. Sure, it’s not high end. But it ain’t bad and I enjoy it.  You can find it at Crutchfield or Audio Advisor - $1399.
Digital Room Correction: Where in the chain?
+1 @lloydc that’s exactly my concern. And the MEN220 does not allow digital inputs. The digital is 24/192 in the MEN220, which on the surface sounds reassuring. But still… Thank you @fthompson251 for pointing out the Legacy Audio Wavelet II. That...
Digital Room Correction: Where in the chain?
Yes, that’s the ‘only’ way the MEN220 works. And I it does seem most users are quite happy with the results. To rephrase my question - ideally, wouldn’t it be best to do any of that DSP upstream and eliminate the ADA? Is there a good alternative t...
Case in point: a $90,000 power cord by ASUNZ
@kennymacc no, you clearly don't get the point.  And your invective, ironically, is a lot more "whiny" than the OP's open letter.  But whatever...thank you for your attention to this matter.
Case in point: a $90,000 power cord by ASUNZ
@gkelly I think you miss the OP’s point. He’s not complaining about the cost of a good per se. He’s complaining about the presence of true snake oil on the market. And I agree, it is insulting and offensive. It mocks our passion.   You say he is ...
Qobuz Connect
Perhaps unrelated to your Qobuz Connect problem, but I occasionally get a similar stop of play with Qobuz through Roon on my Eversolo A6. But if I play Qobuz directly there is no issue. That makes me wonder if it’s a processor issue with my Nucleu...
Open Reel Curious
Okay...two votes for "Run! Run far away!" And one for "Stay curious, but cautious?" Yeah, I’ll keep researching, and thanks for the link, @mgattmch.   For the record, my respectable system is Lumin U2 Mini, Denafrips Pontus 15th, Mc C53, Mc MC31...
Your first concert was to see who and when?
Elvis Presley - Pontiac Silverdome 12/31/75. Fourth row main floor center. I was 9 1/2 years old. My mom took me - one of my best memories as a kid.  I feel like I always “win” this bar talk. :-)  But, damn, there are some good ones in this strin...
Native DSD versus DoP
Thank you everyone for the responses.  I have to admit that I am surprised not to hear an opinion that native DSD is superior to DoP or even hi res native PCM.  @ghdprentice, what you say makes a lot of sense - there may be a difference, but it is...
SACD Player/Transport Choices
@stereo5, if I read correctly, your MCD350 is not outputting a true DSD stream, limited to the onboard DAC, or a toslink connection to an external DAC.
What is your audio axiom?
Excellent post/topic @2psyop, lots of good stuff here.  I am reminded of a favorite piece of advice from Animal House: Boon: I gotta work on my game. Otter: No, no, no, don't think of it as work. The whole point is just to enjoy yourself.
Subwoofer for Klipsch Heresy
Thank you both for your suggestions.  My Heresys are natural birch, but I may have them finished some time.  I do have a pair of REL T/7x on my main system (McIntosh and B&W).  Perhaps I’ll move one to this system for a bit to see how it plays.
15 amp vs 20 amp
@ghdprentice, if using powered subwoofers, would you run those through the power condtioner or the same (or different) line as the amp(s)?
I accidentally overcame the Wife Factor
Agree, good story, @buellrider97, thanks for sharing!
