Acoustic Treatment on rear wall Rockadanny, I was considering a single GIK 244 on the wall behind. I was thinking that not only would it kill the reflection back there but might do a pinch of trapping some bass even though I don't really have a bass issue. I was wondering just h...
Acoustic Treatment on rear wall Correction, I would like to add absorption on the rear wall and not diffusion. Thanks in advance.
My ears of tin are over 50 I own Smith's book. I think it has some good info. Again, I misunderstood what I read. It seems to be the opposite that if you’re past 50, you can no longer hear well enough to really care about your sound quality. You can!
My ears of tin are over 50 I must have misunderstood Jim Smith. I guess as I get older my reading skills are what has deteriorated.

Need small subwoofer for thump My room is small and all I need is a little bit of dynamic thump to push me over. Plus, for that small thump those subs aren't that cheap...at least for me.

Artists of the Decade Tfkaudio, are you referring Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco? I spent months trying to like it and it never sunk in. Just now I put it on and all the songs sound familiar, as you might guess, but they still miss. I still don't get them.
Bass trap in a difficult corner Thanks. I've seen the GIK website and the price seems right. That pillar traps looks interesting, too.
Two subs in a small room.... Ok, so, if in a small room, a single subwoofer will suffice, what kind of small sub would be best? Ported? Sealed? Down-firing? And is there any sub that anyone could suggest?
Two subs in a small room.... I appreciate all the advice. I feel the 10x10 is small but that is what I have for now, but hope to be moving into a new house with something bigger next year, but with the economy I'm not sure. For now, I want the biggest bang for the buck with w...
Two subs in a small room.... My desire is for a smoother, richer sound as opposed to "more" bottom, if that makes sense. I have one sub already and my bottom end is fine but keep hearing that two subs would give a better audio presentation. I've been thinking that the room I ... |
