Advice needed Please, To Fix Or Not To Fix?
Good luck
Best AV processors for under $10K
For me, the question is complicated by your preferred source material and whether the subs stay on-line for two channel listening. IME, subs (virtually) always sound better when managed in the digital domain (including room correction). If you kee...

The best place to start IMHO - if the room is big enough - front l&r plus side l&r plus rear l&r, along with center and sub(s). That's a straight 7.1 (or 7.2 if you have 2 subs) on the back of the Onkyo AVR.

I run my new 9.2 channel Integra 50.4 AVR in the family room in a 5.1 configuration (front L&R, rear L&R, and center - no side channels) with subs and 2 additional height channels. My front L & R are Silverline Sonatinas and they sound...

I got the price with a quick Google search. I don't recall exactly which store had it listed for $549. My guess is that if you find one, any other will match it, so Google on!Marty
Rythmik F 12 vs. SVS SB12-NSD vs. ?
Bob,Thanks for the link. Better said there than I ever could hope for. As for the audibility of the delta in group delay performance between the sealed Rythmiks (best in class, AFAIK) and the sealed SVS (better than just about all others), who kno...
Rythmik F 12 vs. SVS SB12-NSD vs. ?
I did a TON of research a few years back for a pair of subs for a high end, music-only system. That involved auditions of REL, Velodyne, JL, Martin Logan and a few others. It also involved a lot of test bench data review. Based exclusively on the ...
Ultimate sub?
BTW,Rythmik also makes a vented (ported) version of the model. Here are some test results, if you're interested. Outside of group delay below 20hz, these are pretty impressive numbers. The subs go deep and loud and stay clean (for such low frequen...
Ultimate sub?
This one from Rhythmik has about as much low end extension as you could ever require. It's down 3db at 14hz. It's a sealed box with a 600wpc dedicated amp. I use a pair of their 300wpc 12" subs in a pretty large space and have apparently limitless...

I'm an Onkyo/Integra fan. I use Integra AVRs in my Home Theater Room and in a much smaller, video-centric set-up in my family room. I also use an Onkyo Pre-Pro in my more elaborate two-channel system because I'm hooked on room correction. The Onkyo...
Is there a perfect speaker?
One step further. Even if there were a perfect speaker and it was connected to a perfect chain of perfect components, it would still be compromised by your room.
Proac Super Tablette
I owned a pair for several years. These are among the best imaging speakers that I've ever heard. However, in the end, the extended high end coupled with rolled off bass response proved tough to live with. IMHO, this is a great example of great st...
Who makes the highest quality tube amps?
Joule is another name to consider.
Youtube, the new radio?
Technology driving us to a better, more democratic place. To a large (tho surely not 100%) degree, the taste making elite gets left behind. I'm all for that.
German "plug and play" turntable
You might look for a Lehmann black cube. I had one in my system for several years and liked it enough to have kept it as a back-up to my Aesthetix Rhea. It's a very good phono amp and there's a (used) SE version listed for sale here on A'gon right...
