Anyone HEARD the qol 'signal completion' device? Setonaudio, one more weekend only verifies the value of qol unit. Old rock, The Who,Beatles,CCR,Doors,Stones, ect. are all enhanced very markedly. Have not tried classical yet, because once you start playing music you keep playing more of whatever...
Anyone HEARD the qol 'signal completion' device? The music I have played so far has been acoustic, voices, horns, piano, drums ect. in CD, SACD and streamed in from Mac both in stereo and some mono. Etta James, Ray Charles, Van Morrison, Norah Jones, Stevie Wonder and BeeGees. In all cases added ...
Anyone HEARD the qol 'signal completion' device? Setonaudio, I am a slow typist and at work late tonight, but i will share my experience as soon as time allows. I can say, from my "earpoint" that the unit seems to have solved a fundamental short-coming in sound reproduction and the more listenin...
Anyone HEARD the qol 'signal completion' device? I have had one in system for a week now and I am very satisfied. I went in extremely skeptical with thoughts that this might just be a gimmick. So far I am amazed at how everything seems so much more live.I had previously thought my system gave on...
Looking at the Audio Research DS450 - once again I have had mine for a year and find it very transparent. It lets the character of one's preamp shine through. I have the AR LS-27 preamp (tube) which mates nicely with the 450. They drive my Wilson Sophias sublimely.
Stillpoints under T-W Acustic Raven AC Bought the latest stand with Ultras and am more than satisfied. I have some symposium products working in conjunction to great benefit
Help understanding the new Stillpoints products Paul, the head honcho from Stillpoints sent me adaptors for the Ultras under all speakers and units. Under another thread about the Ultra Stillpoints I talk much about placement and my experience. Less than a year ago I had spent 100 thousand+ on ...
Audio Research DS 450 amp......thoughts I bought my Ds 450 8 months ago along with LS 27 to drive Sophia III speakers. At 1st the 450 left me wanting, but after the longest burn-in necessary in my experience, 600+ hrs. the 450 allowed all of great sound from the LS 27 to flow through an...
Has anybody heard the new Audio Research LS 27? I bought my LS-27 8 months ago along with the DS 450 and excellent it has sounded after an initial long burn-in period of about 600 hrs
Grand Prix versus Stillpoints One last point i want to make is that total isolation is not even desirable as there would not be a conduit for the vibrations generated inside and outside each units case to dissipate quickly. The ultras through contacting the units rid the vibra...
Grand Prix versus Stillpoints Theaudiotweek, only you speak of isolation. I said a rack is a starting point and to hear your system at its best you will need some devices that control and dissipate vibration from the audio unit's (CDP,amp, pre, ect.) outer case in order to haste...
Grand Prix versus Stillpoints Theaudiotweek, like written earlier, the rack is just a stating point. Without some additional hardware, either couplers or some vibration absorbing devices such as those from stillpoints and others you will not hear your system near it's best. You...
Grand Prix versus Stillpoints Tbg, I have been back and forth with Paul at Stillpoints and finally have tried every unit with inserts and hardhats down and without inserts and hardhats up. I have to agree with Paul's assessment that most sound better with inserts and hardhats ...
B&W 802 and Stillpoints Edorr, When you get your ultras in you may want to try them under your sub, assuming you have one, also. The difference was just as marked as the floor was being vibrated causing more difference than one would assume possible in the playback of mus...
B&W 802 and Stillpoints Edorr, I have the ultras on carpet. In my case I have 2 Ultra Padz by Symposium under the front feet of my speakers, in order to raise the tweeters to desired level. If you try the Ultras let me know your results. What speakers do you have and do ... |
