Music Recommendation: Feist - Let It Die
Just got it and I am listening to it now. VERY nice and one hell of a recorded disc.
Stands for VR4JR?
I saw some on a web site the other day but I checked my history and can't figure out where it was. I was looking for maple butcher blocks and whatever company I was looking at had a nice custom made, heavy duty stand for the 4JRs.
A trick with Scotch Whisky
My stomach did a backflip when I read this post. This could be an argument for blind comparisons, if I knew what I was drinking, I couldn't ever get it down.
Why does my laptop annoy me less than my rig?
I think the expectation factor hits the nail on the head. I have the reverse effect, It is sometimes annoying to listen to music on anything but my rig. I have crossed the point where my system can be listened to for hours and it is just really fu...
CHRISTMATH...
I have about 15 X-mas CD's, ranging from the various artist collections, A Very Special Christmas discs to classical, nutcraker, etc.
Musical Fidelity A3.2 v. tubed CD players
You may consider auditioning some different speakers with the A3.2 as well. I have found the 804s to be a bit bright.
Musical Fidelity A3.2 v. tubed CD players
If you like MF, you should check out the A5 which is a very nice tubed CDP. It can be had for just a smidge over your budget if you look around. I think you will give up detail with the JD100. It is interesting that your logic flowed from the chan...

Why receivers aren't worth the "competetive price"
Yesterday I go to a friends house to see his new plasma. He turns up his Sony receiver pushing his Bose speakers that are jammed up behind his hearth and tv stand. "Listen to that!" - with a big smile on his face. Is that a clue?
Plasma owners any problems??
I am happy with my Philips plasma. Only issue is the HDMI signal sometimes has trouble syncing with the TV and you have to turn off/on the sat box to get it locked up. After that, no issues.
What 'entrance' music?
Great thread. I am a baseball fan and often players pick music to play as they come from the on deck circle to the batters box. I haven't seen any of their picks listed so far!
sunfier seperates or one unit
I bought a sunfire ultimare receiver back a couple of years ago and couldn't justify spending almost double for essentially the same amplifiers in a different box. What you are getting is a seperate power supply and the ability to buy more interco...
