Sunfire vs. Definitive Technology subwoofers
I have owned the previous version of the Sunfire True Signature, and it was a woderful sub. Also, I have heard the DefTech before, I don't think it is in the same league, my opinion, as the Sunfire as far as depth, speed, or flexbility. It does lo...
Anyone heard the Onkyo sp 1000 yet?
OK, I have seldom been so entertained by an internet message board. Kudos to some of your well written, and thought out, yet subtle to blantantly hostile posts. Wow, it's obvious to me that most Audiophile's went to college and paid close attentio...
Revel M22, Paradigm S2 or B&W 805S
I have not heard the Revel's but I have heard the B&W's numerous times, and the Paradigm's. I love the Paradigms, I think they are one of the best values in all of audio. A great little speaker.
Best subwoofer for 2 channel Hi End system
Vandersteen 2WQ, Ditto.
Gallo reference /TAS vs Me
Amp is supposed be ready to be produced now, per Gallo. The Reference center is not nearly as far along.
Anything better than Vandersteen 3A sig for the $
I think your current equipment and room sound perfect for Maggies. With the amp and subs that you have you could go with Maggie 1.6qr's even, and be very, very happy. I have heard Bi-amping can be helpful, but found that more powerful amps seem to...
Maggie 3.6 owners -- please help
One suggestion if you get Maggies, keep your Innersound amps if you have them. They sound better with Maggies than anything else out there!!!
Gallo reference /TAS vs Me
Mine are still breaking in, and I love them. That said, I think that my Maggie 3.6 were a better speaker. Wider soundstage, more accurate and transparent imaging. But much less bass, not just volume of depth, but not as focused. But that is still ...

Magnepan 3.6R, which I loved. Gallo Ref3 as well. Great speakers all. Maggies 3.6's are some of the best speakers at any price.
Anthem AVM 30 vs. Parasound Halo C2
I was really talking about the hardware upgrades. The Parasound techs told me that "if" they came out with hardware upgrades they would not have HDMI switching on the C2 due to space considerations. He said they may have them on the C1. Also, they...

Anthem AVM 30 vs. Parasound Halo C2
I am very late to this discussion, and wondering what you got? I sold my Parasound C2 and bought the Anthem AVM 30 and have been extremely happy. I didn't dislike the Parasound, but Anthem really does do upgrades, and Parasound really does not. Or...
Pre/Pro Advice: Rotel, B&K, Anthem
I am late to this party, but I have owned a Rotel 1066, a B & K Ref 50 (had problems with brightness on audio), a Parasound Halo C2 (great unit, but not upgrading any time soon), and finally, and I mean finally the Anthem AVM30. I love the Ant...
what speakers for 4k or less new or used
Magnepan 3.6R (about $3k, needs a TON of power, min 400W/ch at 4 ohm), Magnepan 1.6QR ($1k, a lot of power, and a Vandersteen sub for about $800, makes it a great system), Gershman Avant Garde, Gallo Ref3, Vandersteen 3A Sig, or 2CE Sig, Paradigm ...
