Main vs. sub panel for dedicated lines
@jea48 @mesch I have a new service panel and a subpanel. When the sub was installed, a second ground rod was added. Two different electricians installed the panels, both said two ground rods were required to meet PA code. Edit... the 2 panels are ...

Mike, if you're using 10 gauge wire the breakers should be 20A. There's no reason to use one 15 and one 20A. If you use 10/2 Romex, you would use two 20A receptacles for your audio.As stated before, use a subpanel for audio. Main 200A panel will h...
Balancing sound to sharpen dialogue?
Have tried toe-in or toe out? Try tilting the speakers back slightly so they are firing higher.Bass traps or acoustic panels behind speakers or in corners can absorb low frequencies.
Raven Blackhawk LE... am I going to be disappointed?
Ok, understood.Why not use the sub in a traditional hookup with the low-pass crossover? The mid bass driver on the mains is going to present better SQ than a subwoofer driver. Set the crossover on the sub and use it for the lowest octaves.{On the ...

@noromance Ok, I get it.
Main vs. sub panel for dedicated lines
@noromance 8 gauge Romex will not fit 20A receptacle.4 gang box is good idea if using one line.
Main vs. sub panel for dedicated lines
Different philosophies regarding dedicated lines. Use one line if all your component’s amperage is less than the 20A breaker. The takeaway is no ground loop.Use more than one line if separating digital and analogue, running high current monoblocks...

Beginner looking for guidance into tube sound.
@johnfritter, sounds like a plan. That's a very nice preamp from what I've read.
Ethernet Cables
I challenge anyone claiming differences in ethernet cables passing packets. There can be zero differences because a bit is a bit. Bits just don’t get dropped or we would not have communication over the internet. I don’t think this is the real issu...

@b_limo Best of luck with your new amp. Many members had good intentions regarding advise for you. That crossover function sounds interesting, I'm going to look it up.

Taps are purely for convenience and to give you the option to find one that might sound a little better. Which tap you run means nothing as far as the amp itself is concerned. There is a technical difference of course but all that matters is if on...
