DAC for either Roon or HQPlayer on Linux?
I went with the Onkyo P-3000R. I like it. It works well with Linux. I think it was a very good choice. However, if the Teac NT-503 goes on sale, I’m going to pick one up in the future for a music system in another room.
Paradigm SUB 15 Reference 15" Powered Subwoofer - opinions
I was very, very tempted to buy this subwoofer. But without getting any feedback about it, I wasn't confident. So I went with a choice that I felt wasn't risky - two SVS SB-2000 subs. Very happy with them.
How do SVS subwoofers compare to REL?

DAC for either Roon or HQPlayer on Linux?
@tgrisham  Thanks for that feedback. That's interesting info about the TEAC UD-503. I may purchase one. However, what I ended up buying for now is the Onkyo P-3000R. I really like it. How do you think these two compare?
New system has fatiguing, harsh high frequency sounds. How to fix?
@iscm For me the best option would be to have a dedicated system for music.Already did that. Problem already solved. Thanks.
DAC for either Roon or HQPlayer on Linux?
@david_ten I agree with most of that, but I would still like to hear some informed opinions about the Onkyo P-3000R. The only post I have seen about it is that one from 2013. That's about 4.5 years ago. It would be nice to hear the current opinion...
How do SVS subwoofers compare to REL?
I'm not yet ready to buy used equipment. I don't know enough. I'm going to buy new so I can return the item if I make a buying mistake.
DAC for either Roon or HQPlayer on Linux?
One DAC I haven’t seen mentioned in this thread is the Onkyo P-3000R. It’s sold as a preamp, but it functions as a DAC and it works with Linux with no special drivers -- it’s purely plug ’n play. It has separate Burr-Brown DACs for each channel.I ...
