TRL Marantz Sa-14
Agreed on the 300 hour mark for the sound to really start filling out. Bass does not really kick in until then, but when it does you will be quite pleased. 500 hours easy for full break in.Have fun!

Sunil- I would call TRL and try and connect with Brian Weitzel whom you probably know already. He really took a major interest in the transformation of the MF A300 unit. He obviously has a lot more experience than me in assessing amplifier characte...

Pardales- Chatted with Paul about the break in issue to verify what we talked about months ago.The answer is yes and no (:>If the machine was brand new, then more yes as you have to break in both SACD and CD for a period of time.If the unit was...
Best SACD player under $1500?
Agree with the Sony recommendations.Another alternative for slightly more money ($1100+ used and $550 for mod) is a used Marantz SA14 modded by TRL.A new unit alternative is a Sony 2000ES modded by TRL which you can get for probably $800+ total.Go...

In that price range, a TRL modded Sony 2000ES SACD/CD player is hard to beat (around $775-800 including mod).Good luck.

Baranyi and Pardales-Agreed. The champagne is really sweet looking and that color is a classic Marantz look.

Socprof-Thanks for "clarifying" :)I have read where Shine Ola alegedly reduces reading errors. It does seem to be a clean solution and improves the overall audio and video presentations IMHO.Brian is pretty obsessive about getting his solutions pu...
