Funny how streaming/digital still chases that analog benchmark. Midriff if you have pops and clicks then you really need to clean your vinyl dude. Playing dirty vinyl is like loving a woman who isn't clean. Sure you can do it, but you won't like the outcome.Getting very mellow (blitzed) off of a bottle of a sp...
Funny how streaming/digital still chases that analog benchmark. Skypunk.....nice house. I had a thorens td150 until the motor died. My speakers are audio nirvana super 15 alnico full range drivers in ported bass reflex cabs almost as big as I am. I haven't heard anything yet that tops them and I am including ...

Funny how streaming/digital still chases that analog benchmark. @glupson.....uh no. It may have been the "standard" but that does not make it "better".Hell dude... not having air bags in cars was "the standard" for decades when the technology was available for 30 years. Wanting to try a tube amp. I have a conrad johnson mv55 and it sounds amazing. It doesn't have balanced inputs, but that wasn't important to me and they can be had for about 1400 bucks. I build my own tube amps as well, but when I heard the mv55 I knew that I REALLY had to ...
Which speakers did you find bright, fatiguing or just disappointing in some way? Klipsch without a doubt. If you want to listen to glass shattering then they are the speakers for you. Anything else and they are too shrill.
Looking for a new phono preamp Dude if your experience with tubes have been "too noisy too quick" then you REALLY need to ask yourself why they were over biased in the first place. I have designed tube phono preamps that disappear audibly from the signal path. If you are lookin...

It sounds fantastic into my audio nirvana super 15" Alice ported speakers. I design and build my own tube amps but the mv55 made me realize that I needed to r...
Technics 1200g vs Rega rp8, VPI aries, avenger, Basis 2000, Linn LP12 etc. Can it compete? The reason that I am choosing the 1200G as my last table over the vpi prime is that as I get older, the less that I want to fiddle with something like the prime. Take replacing a cartridge for instance. On the 1200 you can remove the head shell, w... |
