forgot to mention my big heavy towel guys. good point though. just added 2 ceiling panels that i forgot to list to. have a hardwood ceiling that need some help. your only as good as your weakest link. i think i've covered all my bases?.
how to include the subwoofer?
looks like you already know the dd12 has a great interface allowing for some fantastic dialing in of the bottom end. if you take the time (many hours in my case), it can end up sounding pretty darn good. i'm in an similar situation as you and chos...
PS Audio Perfect Wave Transport/DAC experiences
Sgr, i've been using HDtracks for the most part. plenty of classical and jazz but very limited rock(almost non-existant rock of any type). just go to the to hi-res section. most are offered in FLAC only. these need to be converted to WAV. per PS A...
PS Audio Perfect Wave Transport/DAC experiences
you're right Sgr. my Pass Aleph P pre-amp needed break-in and on day 3...it really started to sound better. it's obviously an old peice but in really pristine condition. it could have been sitting in its wooden crate for 10 years, for all i know?....
PS Audio Perfect Wave Transport/DAC experiences
i would have to agree with many of comments already made. at this point in time, they perform best as a pair via high quality hdmi connection. although good individually....they really play well together.i think one of the biggest plus's of this c...
PS Audio PerfectWave DAC vs Bel Canto DAC3
wow Sgr, i had an almost identical experience. except for your initial feelings that is. i really liked the duo right off the bat. however... i've never owned a set-up even close to your's so my "bar" was set much lower. used a high grade I2S from...
PS Audio PerfectWave DAC vs Bel Canto DAC3
thanks Sgr. i've been working hard at getting my system right and it's starting to pay off. i agree with you 100% regarding the pwt/pwd duo. far and away the best digi sound i've ever heard too. they sound good individually, but when paired and co...
PS Audio PerfectWave DAC vs Bel Canto DAC3
i just upgraded from a krell s-300i intigrated to a levinson 432. am currently using my pwd as a pre-amp/volume control (also have the pwt). have a pass aleph p pre-amp waiting to be connected to compare the 2 set-ups....with vs without a pre.so f...
amp suggestions for Aerial 7b
i agree Shredder. seems some speakers do certain things great but fall short in some other area. the 7b are good across the board. well put...."a really great do-it-all speaker" imho too. my personal taste makes me wish for a tad more low end grun...
amp suggestions for Aerial 7b
thanks for all the suggestions guys. wanted to stay away from tubes and class d this time around. tubes because of heat, dogs, cat and some cigars. class d because i can't get past the mental hurdle =).down the road i might change my mind. class a...
amp suggestions for Aerial 7b
Soix, i appreciate and agree with your comments. the speaker upgrade is just a long term plan and not written in stone. one of the reasons i'm buying used is for your stated reasoning. poor synergy would allow me to dump the amp at minimal loss to...
has anyone tried PS Audio perfect wave duo
took my pwt/pwd over to a friends house 2 weeks ago for a demo. we tried a variety of combination's and connections using his much more expensive dac and transport (his whole system is MUCH higher end then anything i own).tried his dac with the pw...
Change Interconects? Will it Help?
i'm rather new at this and just finished a 4 month long ic try-out. tried 7 different cables and all sounded "different". some were "better"....others "worse". i also discovered that my "better" may not be the same as someone else's "better".no wa...
any new Beatle fans because of the remasters?
ok...i get it now. no sweat. not a problem or sabotage as long as we're having fun.leave it to a greenhorn to step into a mine field =).i would agree that living through the entire experience would add to the understanding of what the Beatles were...
any new Beatle fans because of the remasters?
ok folks...i think my post/question might have been misinterpreted or too vague. wasn't looking to start a fire or anything like that.was just wondering if the remaster's have in some way, turned others on (or back on) to the band?. maybe gave the...
