Amps that can Rival A Levinson No. 332 around 3K? i'm a Pass fan as well but won't be getting rid of my ml432 anytime soon. opinions will vary greatly but for those of us who love the luscious midrange and overall non-fatiguing sound of ml, there are few substitutes. i matched mine up with a Pass...
Is no preamp the best preamp of all? i really tried hard to go without a pre. in the end, my gear sounded better with one. however, many of the pre's i tried didn't sound better. without trying them out...i never would have known.
Why magic at 80 db? i use to have this problem...kinda was running a krell s-300i into aerial 7b's. it never sounded great at low listening levels but improved once above the 80db mark. never understood why but think this thread sheds some light on it. things got *mu...
How far off are wireless audiophile speakers? not far at all imho. judging from the outstanding sound already available via wifi streaming, i'd say fairly soon. i think some folks need to give certain SOTA wireless set-ups a listen before they write off wireless as a whole. there is still som...

HDtrack not necessarily better? can't agree. am yet to buy anything from hdtracks that doesn't sound "as good" or "better" then the redbook versions. most have been "better" with only a handful being "as good" or nearly the same. all of the "as good" versions have been 96 or 88....
Would like a good integrated to power Vandersteens i'd ditto the krells as well. any of the last few generations would do fine. pre-owned...they can had pretty cheap and pack plenty of punch. good match with laid back speakers imho.
Have you treated your listening space? luckily, room treatments were one of the first things i bought into after asking for advise here on agon. only spent a few hundred bucks but the results were priceless. i'm still tinkering around with it all but am definitely headed in the right d...

Hi- Res download newbie Ben, don't think he has the bridge...just the pwt/pwd. op's looking to burn hi res to play via pwt i think??. the pwt will only play WAV when burned to dvd. worse...it must be formatted and burned in a specific way to work (udf 2.0 and no folders)...
Hi- Res download newbie went through this a while back. even posted a "how to" on the PSA forums after i got it sorted out. did end up with a dozen or so unreadable dvd's before getting it right. the biggest problem i ran into was the various glitches in windows vista re...
Amy Winehouse.RIP no church for glory?? being religious is "destructive"?? if this is truly how you feel....then you're right. i must have a bad tube somewhere ;-). will look into a repair if possible.Chadnliz.....i don't have a dog in the "is she a star" fight. do...

Amy Winehouse.RIP Chadnliz, i could have been clearer in my previous post. physical violence was not what i was thinking, but can see how that could be read between the lines. please allow me to clarify.so a-gon threads become real world meetings, in person, to dis...
Amy Winehouse.RIP and that's what it is Tubegroover...a sign of our times. i wouldn't single out tension and division, as that's always been present. it's the lack/deterioration of civility that is the sign of our times. a judgmental arrogance that seems to be wors... |
