Need 25 foot interconnects
How about keeping your existing cables, but get a couple of AudioQuest (or similar) RCA female/female connector and then get a couple more RCA interconnects at 10 feet or so.  Then join them all together and you’ve got 25 feet. This gives you the ...
Bookshelf speakers that renders 3D soundstage
I have had really good luck with Totem Dreamcatcher speakers.  They are favorably reviewed and a mini marvel.  Slightly larger but still punching well above their price point are the original Andrew Jones Pioneers. Both of these can be found used ...
What speakers have you mistakenly let go and then later repurchased?
Infinite Slope Model .6 which I had lusted over since college days.  Finally bought a pair, but sold them for some Axiom M80 towers.  Big mistake.  Bought another pair of the .6 (actually two pair) along with ultimately a pair of Infinite Slope Mo...
Please share photos of your Vinyl cabinet/shelving
@donlduck1 I was able to see them just by cutting and pasting the links. Are you tall enough to reach those shelves to remove LPs and CDs or is that primarily acting as storage but not constant access? There was probably a ladder or a stool in the...

@nikonnola very nice looking shelves. I have ordered two of the four rack ones for my music area. Unfortunately they are on extreme back order because the company can’t get steel. It’s been a month now hopefully they can come up with some supplies...

I bought two of these racks from Boltz. Each shelf holds 180LP’s so 700 or so per unit. The casters allow it to be moved around. It met the wife acceptance factor as well.   https://www.boltz.com/lp-record-storage-rack-4-shelves.html
How long should speaker cables be?
As others have mentioned above, the prevalent thought for many is long interconnects and short speakers cables.  My speaker cables are currently 6' which is more than enough, but my interconnects (straight RCA) are 18' to my reel-to-reel and turnt...
Need suggestions: High pitched female singers
@blackbag20 if you want high pitched male singers besides Geddy then give a listen to David Surkamp of Pavlov’s Dog fame on the “At the Sound of the Bell” album ha ha!
Need suggestions: High pitched female singers
Kate Wolf would be high on my list.  Any of her albums but “Back Roads” and “Close to You” are my most played   Give Kina Grannis a listen as well.  The “Stairwells” album.
Buying from Canada!
I bought a pair of Focal 926 speakers (made in France) last year, shipped to US from Ontario.  UPS clearing fees (on top of shipping) were $26 and some change. The seller clearly labeled on the customs form the content/value and that they were use...
Too many choices for R2R DACS--opinions appreciated
@wlutke oh boy I am way behind in my acronyms.  I didn't know that NOS was not really NOS anymore :-)
Too many choices for R2R DACS--opinions appreciated
So disappointed, I thought this thread was going to be about R2R (as in reel-to-reel tape deck of which R2R is the common abbreviation) and I was interested to see which decks everyone had (mine is a Teac X300)! Sigh. LOL
What do audiophiles do in their cars?
I specifically limited the style and brand of car based on the availability of certain sound systems.  I do not in any way think I can replicate the sound of my home system, but, wanted something pretty highly rated.  Most new cars, with integrate...
Record clamp/weight and turntable speed
@lewm thank you for your response.  As for the VTA, the current cartridge (Grado Prestige Gold) was set up by a shop with the factory mat plus a felt (I think it is) 70's anti-static mat and the two of them together is about the same as the replac...
Record clamp/weight and turntable speed
I have a slight twist on the OP's question, in that I have a 70's era Thorens 145 belt-drive turntable that I have introduced a center weight to.  As was pointed out, this weight does not affect the platter speed at all, it just takes a slight mom...
